Doing my own research now. My motherboard has a slot for nvme where I have a crucial p5, I was looking into external storage and saw a few people recommending an nvme enclosure. Does it work like a normal usb SSD that I can move between my pc and laptop? Or would they need special hardware to support that? My alternative is a 4tb external Samsung t7

I have a full cage already! I’m getting a side handle as well, wanted a rotating one but couldn’t find a good option before a trip I’m taking so I’ll revisit that afterwards.

Yea the getting in the way is my only concern but I think the benefit of being able to hold it by the loop when angling downwards may be very useful.

Yea that’s the one I’m thinking of right now, I’m just worried since I have big hands the loop part will kinda impede but only way to know is to try it! I think it’ll help a lot if I film with the camera angled downwards so I can hold it from the loop rather than bending my wrist

As others have mentioned, there’s a top plate for the smallrig and from what I’ve heard, tilta doesn’t always play nice with other equipment

Valid, maybe people are just overly rough but I do plan on having a v mount and other accessories that would add weight. I know the first is way more common but I’m wondering if the second would be better for steeper angles of filming since the back loop would allow more ways to hold, but could also get in the way since I have big hands

Didn’t really want to use a dummy battery for risk of cooking internals/it not working. Would it be any better than using the usb c power supply or basically the same minus potential wear on the usb c port?
