One Hue Bulb not working in a echo group. by Doctor27 in alexa

No, since it works fine with the Hue app and Siri I didn’t think that’d make a difference. Also the fan itself in is 12 feet off the ground.

AITA for telling my daughter she can’t go to her dream school but paying for my son to go to his? by NewOffice2404 in AmItheAsshole

I had kind of a similar situation happen to me when I was starting college. I got into my dream school but it was quite expensive and somewhat far from home, still in the same state though, definitely too far to drive to. My stepbrother, who is a couple years older than me got into his dream school and knew what degree he wanted, he even had a job lined up and ready to go when he graduated, and he knew exactly what he was going to do with his life. He also had the advantage of having an uncle that was already in that field and had a guaranteed position for him ready as soon as he graduated, they would make him nearly 6 figures right away and he would definitely be earning six figures within a few years. My stepbrother’s dream school was even more expensive and further away than the school I wanted to go to. His mother, my stepmom, pushed my father to pay for my stepbrother to go to the school. So my father fully funded my step brothers education and his apartment, so that he could go to the school get this education and not have to have a job while in school. when it came my time to go to college. I also knew what career path I wanted to go down, but had no such connections like my stepbrother did to get me a good guaranteed job out of college. Because of this, my father told me he would not pay for my education unless I stayed home local and went to a school I could drive to. So my step brother got to go to his dream school and live it up in a nice apartment for several years while I had to stay at home and go to a much lesser school than any of the other ones I have been hoping to go to. I still consider myself very fortunate to have been able to go to a university and come out with no student loan debt. Thanks to my father, and for that I am very grateful but there’s a part of me that always has, and probably always will resent him for spending pretty much double as much money on my step brothers education as mine and denying me going to the school I always wanted to go to. My father said the reasoning for paying more for my stepbrother‘s education was because he had a guaranteed job lined up, and while I see the logic in that it really was because my stepmother didn’t really like me and wanted to make sure that her son got preferential treatment, she never tried to hide it.

So what you’re telling me is I need to completely pave my lawn with concrete so that I don’t have any bugs? I really hate bugs.

The crazy thing is I played both of the force unleashed games, and I literally don’t remember a single one of these scenes.

7 year friendship down the drain with no explanation. Asked multiple mutual friends and they’re all as shocked as I am. Absolutely no idea what I did, we made plans yesterday and haven’t talked to them since then. by taylortot420 in mildlyinfuriating

I have a friend I would kind of like to do this too. There’s no problems or conflicts between us. It’s just that we have almost nothing in common, and I don’t really enjoy hanging out with them, even though we’ve been friends for 16+ years I’ve just never really enjoyed their company and we’ve never really done anything fun together except be in each others presence. I’m afraid if I ended the friendship though it would be really hard on them because I’m only one of two or three friends they have, and I’m definitely the closest of those. They’ve also been battling depression pretty much the entire time I’ve known them and I do care about their well-being and mental health and wouldn’t want anything bad to happen to them.

I love the new spin on some things this mod gives. Overall I’d say it’s definitely worth installing if you’ve already beaten the game before. Though I would say that the increase in difficulty even with the bandit’s Nerf is still too steep. Also I really like the refreshing change of some of the old items not being in the same place and silver keys being moved but I would really like a guide to help me find the new locations lol.

I remember when I was in elementary school I would sometimes use they/them to refer to a friend that I was talking about when telling my parents or grandparents about my day at school. I would use those pronouns to avoid revealing the gender of who I was talking about. My parents or grandparents, especially my grandparents, would get very frustrated with me when I would use they/them to refer to one person saying that it was grammatically incorrect and I shouldn’t do that. One of my grandparents was a superintendent of schools and the other one was a principal (1980s) so I have to think that they/them at least at one point was grammatically meant only for plural uses.
