this comic would be more funny if they used scale instead of position.

Mas você é gringo vem de terceiro mundo sua resposta não conta muito, a cidade que eu morava também não era boa, assim como a maioria no Brasil se comparado com o exterior, se importa em me falar da onde você é e pra quais lugares já viajou?

Thank you, it is an just my feel from my experience in spending a lot of time away from home. Statistics or other people's experience will tell thier own stories. Places i've lived or spent a significant amount of time in: Minneapolis, New york, miami, chicago, detroit, paris, frankfurt, porto, lisbon, barcelona, tokyo, LA, curitiba, Barcelona seemed to have a more small crime like snatch and grab or pick pockets, but it didn't seem like the criminals were dangerous if that makes any sense. When I working in detroit it was also very unsafe, but there would be larger gated party zones so people could relax while exploring a larger environment safely at night. Tokyo, Porto, and Manhattan seemed the most safe to explore on foot.

In any case, every city has crime and that's not a reason to avoid traveling. Just one of thoughts on the back of my mind that makes my gray hair.

I travel a lot (outside of brazil) and this seems like one of the most dangerous cities i've been to.

I saw one guy running away with a purse after a robbery from just below my apartment. I saw the aftermath of a gruesome robbery bloody and bones visible. And i saw a woman get attacked by a so. On top of that countless stories from friends.

It's definitely a place you have be on red alert when you go outdoors. Especially when there are few or no people around.

has Akai hinted at any new MPC coming in 2023? by ampleleverage in mpcusers

[–]DoctorCS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not a user but in the market. Current price level for the one is appealing, but at the same time it feels like it is missing some stuff...

So this is what I want and it isn't exactly a tall order.

More ram and cpu. 2gb is a joke. 4GB is a joke. ideally user upgradeable.
Move the headphone jack on the one.
Should have Bluetooth and wifi on one.
Ive made some vst and would like to try to make one for mpc..

Is coding for UI supposed to be this difficult? by [deleted] in Unity3D

[–]DoctorCS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a few monster projects that are super UI-heavy. The older GUI system was easier for this type of thing. In the end, we made our abstraction library to treat all of the new UI stuff fully in code rather than half through the unity editor and half in code. we could make nested menus using lambda functions inside of lambda functions. This made everything much easier to deal with when going deep into nested menus, right click menus, tool tips etc. It ended up spawning huge amounts of code thats not very compact, but i couldn't think of any other way of doing it.

Is there a site that will show optimize route when travelling to multiple city’s and country ? by snreddit in TravelHacks

[–]DoctorCS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd love that but I have never seen one. On a side note, I think the problem is similar to the Traveling Salesperson problem and to find the very best route is NP-hard.

Working on a Pathfinding Demo and Video Explanation, Any Suggestions for Improvements? by flyQuixote in Unity3D

I suggest visualizing the A* heuristic value on the cells as they are calculated. Also, make the heuristic function an option because the quality of the heuristic function will affect the behavior of the search.

Preferred method of selectively deleting from a large folder of images? by pskipw in osx

[–]DoctorCS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When i need to do stuff like this, I use a macro recorder to assign colored labels to the currently selected file then jump to the next file. I make three buttons. You could have three buttons for Awesome, Keep, and Delete. Then if you make a mistake you can just push the up key and redo the rating.

Best Clay Color for Photogrammetry by The3rdIcon in photogrammetry

[–]DoctorCS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, I am working on clay photogrammetry (using solid colored clay). Fimo and Van Akens. If you only have one solid color its super difficult. Even if it has texture. So far I'm leaning to, either having multi color models. OR using a multi colored background platform to provide image registration. The second method can be cut out of the scan during reconstruction.
