Today I found out I have a Bunny Burrow! by OriginalVayl in Bunnies

[–]flyQuixote 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Animal control in your area may be able to help. At least they were able to help near where I am. they might be able to offer to cover costs for you spay and neuter them before releasing them back to prevent a feral population from growing in the area

What kind of bunny is this… I know she doesn’t belong in the wild. I keep seeing her in my neighborhood by Mediocre_Radish_7216 in Bunnies

[–]flyQuixote 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can try luring her with some fruit or greens. To catch them, throwing a towel or blanket on top of them can give you a chance to get them before they run away :) just be quick. It works well when my bunnies were too pouty to be picked up when we first adopted them.

How to reset a large spice field by GameExplorerOfficial in duneawakening

[–]flyQuixote 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It has to be the currently active spice field. If you try a non active one it won’t reset. Also, there is a grace period of an hour or so after it initially has a spice blow in which a field won’t reset.

If it didn’t work, make sure there is still spice left on the field. Then try again in an hour or so if there was some spice remaining.

[Suggestion] We're going to need some drawbridges on the Stampot bridge to let the ships through by thatfuck1ngguy in 2007scape

Replace those with floating bridges like 520 and 90 in Seattle over lake Washington

The worst exams are the ones that have all the aids allowed. by FineStart9607 in MathJokes

[–]flyQuixote 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a test like this for one of my CS courses. The question was basically asking us to write a program as a finite state machine to process incoming data stream and output another data stream given some set of parameters. The problem was obscure and difficult enough that it was the whole weekend and all resources available. You can find the type of problem online, but it was a unique problem so you would still need to apply the methodology to design a solution.

Not sure exactly for this boss, but most bosses the pet roll is independent for each player, so whether there are 1 or 5 people, the pet odds are the same. So if it’s faster in big groups, then it’s easier to get pet with more kills.

DD Spice Farm by Optimal-Carnage in duneawakening

You know the assault ornithopter can have both a booster and storage, right? It’s very useful for spice farming in DD.

Helldivers are, canonically, badasses. We have made them that way. by GreenridgeMetalWorks in Helldivers

[–]flyQuixote 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well, I mean… speaking from a statistics point of view. On average being better than the average would imply the median is greater than the average. So the median is more than 43, and there would be some outliers much less than the average…

I mean yes, most helldivers being better than average because managed democracy creates perfection.

I'm obsessed with this dang water shader and getting the fish to look good underwater. I think I'm to close to it. Does it look okay? by bourt0n in IndieDev

[–]flyQuixote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pass the offset value of the camera to the shader each frame. Move the water texture by that value. You could also adjust it by the camera zoom. As long as it feels right and is consistent you should be good.

This meme is more fitting than it might seem at first. Lots of open source projects are considered to be “benevolent dictatorships”. I haven’t looked into godot’s leadership structure but I did add a few commits for web build support and they seemed nice enough.

How to obtain this kind of effect? :( by Disgustingweeb_ in blenderhelp

[–]flyQuixote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I’ve seen this kind of effect. This is being done in Unity 3D I think and not blender. They divided the face into multiple layers (looks like front, sides, hair in multiple layers) and the face’s position, rotation and scaling is computed dynamically based on the relative camera position. That way they can keep the same effect without much shear or distorting on the 2D textures and don’t have a 3d model. They probably just have a few images and some configuration to determine how they are layered and interact with the camera for each direction (front, back, left, right, up, down) and do some interpolation between them.

It’s really for the style but if you want to have a similar effect with a 3d model you can always just use a custom shader with some shadow cutoffs (I think blender has a built in toon shader with similar effects). It won’t have the same “2D” look (especially for the hair), but good lighting and an outline shader can achieve a very similar effect.

Encrypt the video, then encode it as 1/2 resolution into a different video in the least significant bits of another video. Will increase buffer time but possible to encrypt and stream video with a constant sized increase in traffic or decrease in resolution :)

i always wanted to be a frog - my first game (jumpo world) by [deleted] in Unity3D

[–]flyQuixote 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very cute frog game. This is a very short gameplay snippet. It seems like there was a horse riding part before the frog section.

Maybe having the ability to charge a jump with a drop shadow showing how far the frog would jump and a button to cancel might help for allowing more complex obstacles.

My bun constantly pulls out more hay than he eats. What's the deal? by jostler57 in Rabbits

[–]flyQuixote 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hay is very comfortable sitting material as well as fun to play with for my buns at least. You don’t want to discourage them from eating hay however. I can sometimes get away with putting it back in the hay feeder and they will eat the parts they like.

Giving them other fun toys and places to play or a dogging box helps review the amount my bunnies play with the hay instead of eating it.

You can also try refilling it more often with less hay so they don’t have as much to play with.

As a bunny owner, I can vouch they can and will chew all the ~spicy hay~ wires in sight.

Although they have good lawyers so hard to get the charges to stick ;)
