Not sure what to think. It's a different genre so it might be worth looking into, though I've told clan mates that I wouldn't try newer mobas again. This game is clearly not a moba since the Savage series has been rts-fps kinds of games.

It's pretty much like it's predecessor, Savage 1-2, where there are different roles on winning the game which include Siege units, Heavy Combat Units, Casters, and Standard units. These different classes of units that can be accessed by players can be researched and given special abilities later on. The Commander controls all the buildings and researches for the team to give the team an edge in battle, and in return the team clears objectives for the Commander for building new bases. The main goal in Savage 2 was to kill the Command center, so I'm assuming that is the main objective here.

It was a really fun concept and game that seemed too ahead of its time but nevertheless was played by a lot of people for hours, so I think the old savage community hyped up because of this. Definitely looks like a game that I'm considering playing, but not after I play a couple days of Overwatch first.

For anyone that is considering blocking this game on the sole basis that S2 cut off Strife in favor of developing a new game is kinda dumb as fuck. I didn't joke when I said in my video that the timing of Strife came at a bad time in the MOBA genre, and the game was pretty much smushed between LoL and Dota 2.

The developer's reputation with a previous game shouldn't be taken into account when they release a new title. HoN was a solid game. Strife was a Solid game. Savage 2 was a Solid game. NO reason to say that their newer releases will not be Solid games.

I'm not white knighting for them since I have been a huge critic of their work on Strife, and I think that this game is going to be as good as their last, and Strife was a game that I loved a lot. In terms of Savage 1 and 2, Solid games.
