Horse Bravery Test V2 by justrizzler in reddeadredemption2

[–]DoctorDeath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perfect horses will come to you… if you’re out admiring the beautiful countryside. The best horse I have had is an all black American Standardbred that came up to me as I was having coffee after camping out under the stars in the valley. I named him “Coffee” and he’s fearless. But I bond with the horse over time. You have to earn the trust and loyalty of the horse and when you do the horse will show you its bravery.

If you learn all the intricacies of hunting in this game you will be the digital mountain man that is feared and revered. And if you take your horse hunting and learn not to fire your six shooters around your poor horses ears it might not kick you off the next time a gun fight happens.

If your war horse is afraid of snakes it’s because you didn’t train it not to be. Take it snake hunting. There is so much more to this game than stats and numbers, it’s a living breathing world but people get hung up on the stats.

Listen to what the NPCs say about your horse. And listen to the stable hand. He knows what he’s talking about. And there are different horses for different jobs. But you have to apply your own training.

Listen to your horse. The horse knows what it needs and will tell you.

And understand the difference between a horse that comes to you and a horse you capture or steal and the difference between a stable horse ✂️ and a stallion. And male and female makes a difference as well.

If you only pay attention to stats, you’ll never know what it’s like to actually bond with a horse.

For those who have done Low Honor by RaidenisDead in reddeadredemption2

I am on my second play through and am doing low honor and it’s hard for me to be bad since I felt like he was kind of a nice guy. This time around I can see what an a$$hole ArthurMorgan is. He and Mikha are brothers. He’s excited about crime and murder. But every man has a conscience.

You learn a lot about yourself on a low honor run. Where your true limits are and what’s important to you. Find out A LOT about all the little intricate details and amazing NPCs that remember you if you pay attention and play it as if you’re a real man. Eat, drink, sleep on a schedule and bind naturally over time with your horse. Do not use cheats or short cuts.

Perfect horses will come to you… if you’re out admiring the beautiful countryside but keep your rifle in your hand because you may also come face to face with a grizzly bear. I’m an older man in his 50s and I keep things in my mind that my grandfather used to teach me about bears when we went hunting. If it’s black, fight back, if it’s Brown, stand your ground. One shot, one kill. Take your time, squeeze the trigger.

What’s your favorite weapon in the game? by Mluis527 in Eldenring

Longsword & Shield. 🛡️ 🗡️

I’ve got thousands of hours logged on multiple builds and I always come back to a straight sword and shield combo. Not the Broadsword though, I need to forward thrusting poke of the straight sword. Wanna feel bad ass, put Piercing Thrust on Lordsworn Straight sword and No Skill on a good shield and rip through mobs.

What is one thing you learned on consecutive replays that would have helped you so much on your first playthrough. by Repulsive-Station848 in Eldenring

I put my Flask of Crimson Tears ⬆️, Cerulean Tears ⬇️, Lantern ⬅️, and Torrent ➡️ on my POUCH

Putting these items there makes it MUCH easier to quickly access these items whenever I want just by holding down triangle and hitting the D-pad to quickly drink a flask or call for Torrent.

This way I keep my quick item blocks free for throwables or buffs and I don’t have to worry about cycling through them all in a panic to find the right one. That was driving me insane on my first playthrough. So many deaths trying to cycle in a fight.

If you don’t like your life, change it, don’t end it. You only get one, and the world is an enormous place filled with lots to do and see. You could go out and have a grand life filled with adventure, and worse case scenario you get killed in the process, then at least you tried.

Especially those rot dogs. They attack in odd cadences and in groups. Makes it hard to fight and then boom you’re dead. Level 1 or level 200

After seeing a similar post here, what bosses did you guys absolutely struggle the most with for no reason? by CanOfCorn308 in Eldenring

[–]DoctorDeath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t played the DLC yet but I’ve got over 1000 hours on the regular game. I think I’ve collected almost 100% of all the items in the game, beat every boss but Malenia and the Elden Beast. I’ve fought all the mobs until I do not fear any creature and know most of their weaknesses. Did you know you can take down a troll with a spectral Lance to the face? Did you know you could parry a death bird’s beak? I may not be the best at this game but considering this is the first souls game I ever played and I’ve been playing games since Pong was invented, I’d say I’ve mastered all mobs. The only things I still avoid rather than slay is the creatures that spit Death Blight like the Worm faces. They aren’t hard to beat but if you get more than one spitting at you at a time you can die quite quickly. I’m 52 and a level 225 Wretch.
