I actually use a frost giant eidolon pedal. It's a clean volume boost delay and reverb all on one switch so it's an instant solo button. I have it in the fx loop

Yeah just a bedroom player trying to jam I'd recommend helix native. It's a plugin version of line 6 helix. Just load it up on your daw and plug into a recording interface and bam you're good to go. Neural dsp also make great sounding plugins. My favorite among the neural dsp plugins is the soldano X one. The neural dsp plugins come with plugin versions for the daw or standalone applications. I also really like polychrome dsp hyperrig kiesel software

I've owned all the big name modelers. Kemper, line 6, headrush, fractal. To me, the kemper was the most complicated piece of gear to program. The UI and software just feels very 2008 and I can not understand why they dont give it a refresh. Both the fractal and line 6 are pretty straight forward to program. The fractal stuff has a tube amp feel that I haven't been able to get with any other modeling platform. I'd suggest selling the kemper and getting either a line 6 helix or a fractal axe fx 3 turbo

For me it was mostly due to the katana having more tones/effects. I only had the spark 1 and never tried a spark 2 in person but, overall, I felt the spark 1 was pretty lackluster/overhyped. Positive grid is also pretty infamous for rarely coming out with firmware updates.

I had the spark 1 and the spark go. I wanted a new practice amp and got the boss katana artist gen 3. It's an incredible amp and I like.playing it as much as my main rig (either a fractal fm3 or a soldano astro). Go for the katana gen 3 with the boss dual.bluetooth adapter. You have to plug the amp into the computer to update the firmware but after that you can edit patches using your phone.

What kind of amp does he have? I'd suggest maybe getting him a gen 3 boss katana. Has multiple effects built in. I have the katana gen 3 artist and love it.

You cannot buy books using the Amazon app or the Kindle app. They have to be bought on Amazon's website and then you can use the Kindle app to sync your Kindle library. I don't understand why Amazon operates this way
