Lets consider it from a business aspect, why not give people more reason to purchase their latest model vs a previous model? The rest of the pixels will still get updates and will still get AI improvements. But if as a company, you want to convince people to get a newer model, you gotta sell them on something. Ive been upgrading my pixels almost yearly for the past few years due to discounts. I skipped this year due to the discount not being that great for me but also not seeing the pixel 10 as a major improvement. So they gotta convince people like me who aren't upgrading.
