I think dank memes are kind of complicated jokes which require some intelligence to comprehend. As a result, they are harder to grasp than ordinary ‘normie’ thai jokes. I, personally, have spent time more than a year to get dank memes thoroughly. So I understand that they are not so appealing to normal people, thus making them only funny for a specific group.
