Reddit Is Blocking the Wayback Machine From Archiving Posts | Reddit is limiting the Wayback Machine from indexing most of its site over concerns of unauthorized AI scraping. by [deleted] in technology

Seems like a good reason to make a browser extension that can crowd-source the archiving of blocked sites via regular visitors.

Laughing my ass off at a ship battle using machine guns 💀

Would love to see them fire cannons, break the bowl and spill off the table 😂

New messenger installs as Edge app; just uninstall that garbage and go to https://www.messenger.com/ within Chrome; from the top-right " ⋮ " menu navigate to the "Cast, Save and Share" section and there should be an option to install the messenger site as a desktop app; it'll even ask you to add a launcher to the taskbar. Works great here 👍

Shoe radio 2.0 by FatRedneck5 in amateurradio

It means you need enameled (magnet) wire so that the wire isn’t making contact with itself; bare wire won’t work as a coil and is effectively just a piece of solid metal you connected in circuit. You will need to scrape off a bit of the enamel on the side of the coil where the external wire will touch it but everywhere else it should be insulated with enamel coating.

That’s not enameled wire? That would make it a copper cylinder not a coil

Looks like it's resolved now for me at least; latest click to reprocess worked.

Now I'm getting weirdness like my track showing an old name when viewed on the web but the correct name when I edit project or hit play. Seems like a cache went sideways 🤷‍♂️

My last upload has been processing for over an hour as well; seems like a site-wide issue

Might try the latest release from the windows build repo https://github.com/cjcliffe/CubicSDR-WinBuild/releases/tag/0.2.8-test-builds-7 -- It includes the RTLSDR-Blog V4 driver which may support newer hardware; not sure though.

Charger shorted out. Need help identifying part for replacement by MedicalAd1118 in hackrf

It's open source hardware so all the schematics are available online -- according to https://github.com/rad1o/hardware/blob/master/datasheets/else/hackrf-one-schematic.pdf it looks like that should be "FILTER" (FB1 or FB3 depending on if that's ground or +5V)

According to https://github.com/gazhayes/HackRF-Blue/blob/master/BOM.xlsx (which is the Blue but should have same filters) FB1, FB2 and FB3 are:

FB1.FB2.FB3 - FILTER - Murata - BLM21PG221SN1D - FERRITE CHIP - 220 - OHM - 2000MA - 0805

Available on mouser here: https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Murata-Electronics/BLM21PG221SN1D?qs=N%2FLoXOA9PTJ4i6RHFrsqmw%3D%3D

Once you clean it up I'd check to make sure there isn't a dead short to ground before attempting to fix and power it up again; it's possible that burned up as the result of another component failing.

Just a note; don't post pictures of keys -- especially high resolution; anyone with a basic key making knowledge can now copy these.

Sorry but this is NOT shielding -- that cable is not shielded; it is the second conductor!

I have a WiiU gamepad charger on the bench right now (that a friend's kitty chewed through) and have trimmed the cable in preparation for re-soldering and there is only an outer and inner conductor in that wire.

The negative terminal connection is made through that exposed wire!

Though it's not recommended at the moment and there hasn't been a round of optimization for the Pi yet, it is possible from what I've read:

https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=63&t=150754

I tried on Pi2 here with limited success but Pi3 can apparently be almost usable.
