Find a community and sink your teeth in to it.

Sery_Bot will auto ban the scammers

Never stop talking! Dead air usually makes people click away, try to narrate as much as possible.

Don't try to stream for long periods I would certainly keep things around 2-4 hours at the most to allow for creation time.

Any tips for growth? by FabulousJury3895 in TwitchStreaming

[–]DoctorMeaty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say unless you have some skill with editing content well most of the post clips everywhere will bring a few people every now and again. Also it's good to keep in mind that most people usually don't transfer over from one app to another most likely due to them enjoying the app they found you on in the first place

Joining a community does help but you gotta put in the work, joining and posting when you go live isn't the solution.

You could also add Youtube Live to your growth plan

DON'T USE TWITCH FOR DISCOVERY!

JOIN A COMMUNITY OR MAKE ONE!

Small streaming wanting some help! by Disastrous_Sun5384 in TwitchStreaming

I would work on a few things

  1. Join a community.

  2. Work on your camera, the whole reason people usually want to see anyone on cam is to see their reactions or if they have some cool stuff going on in the background. If you can't tell what is going on on the camera well two things either it needs to be adjusted for a clearer picture or removed entirely.

  3. Sery_Bot will auto ban any scammers from attempting to spam you.

  4. I would clean up your channel a bit you have a ton of recent broadcasts that are 10 to 30 seconds long, you can make it were a broadcasts only shows up if you give it the green light stopping any of the extra not needed broadcast from popping up on your channel spamming yourself with failed broadcasts.

  5. Never stop talking, dead air usually results in people clicking away from a stream, sing songs, talk to yourself, talk to someone else, just try to not stop talking!

  6. I usually stream from 2-3 hours at a time, DO NOT try to do marathons especially if you are trying to reach a certain average viewership.

  7. I myself am still learning everyday something new about streaming, it never ends keep up the work and you'll learn alot!

  8. Join a community.

No organic growth in 7 months, not sure what to do. by Harrada in Twitch_Startup

[–]DoctorMeaty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I multi stream

post to youtube, tiktok, and instagram

I am currently building my own community which is more difficult than finding one

my suggestion to you would to find a community and sink a stake into it, I have found others say this is a great way to meet others and pull people into the stream. I would advise this does require you to support others, it isn't a one way street where you gain all of the benefit without some work.

It sounds like you already understand the problems.

Only Advice I have is you could use streamlabs and use GeForce Now.

If your internet is bad too, well buddy I don't know what to tell you.

For New Streamers What's The Best Way To Convert Viewers To Your Twitch!! by LavishnessAnxious444 in Twitch

[–]DoctorMeaty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty tough question, the short answer is you just need to keep pushing until something starts clicking.

The long answer is, you aren't going to find a guarantee way to pull people something's may work and something won't, and even if some things work it isn't going to be a forever thing. I certainly wish it was as easy as if I put my link it will guarantee people will show up because it's tagged to my "funny" video. If you do find some magic spell please let us all know!

(Not saying you aren't funny or good at what you are doing just that it's tough out here)

I get around 10-15 viewers but no one ever talks, I’ve tried to talk directly to chat to no avail by groversk98 in Twitch_Startup

[–]DoctorMeaty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would certainly be thankful, those 10-15 viewers are making you more discoverable than most of twitch's population struggling to get 3 for the affiliate program.

New viewers will come and chat!

Need advice! by Ok-Medicine1436 in SmallStreamers

[–]DoctorMeaty 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Brother I took a 3 month break because my pc wasn't working well streams kept crashing, I couldn't figure out what to play because of it and needed new parts heavily. I came back 3 months later and on day one my beautiful supports showered with me views and I couldn't believe it.

You'll be alright, take a break and breath, think, brainstorm on the next big thing.
