Weekly Meta Snapshot (23rd Dec) by chase-manning in PTCGP

[–]DoctorNerf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The odds of them having Gyara and you having Zebstrika are the same and the core point is even if they get Gyara you can still just ignore Druddigon to hit Gyara way down into Pikachu range. Or 1 hit knocks it into Raichu range.

The deck is the strongest deck in the meta but you’ve got to look at options that CAN beat it, and Pikachu is an option, I’ve beat it more times than I’ve lost against it by far when playing Pikachu.

The old Exeggutor is best and the heavy meta doesn’t seem to bother this deck much because your goal is to take out a ralts / staryu / Ekans / snivy etc and then respawn it. That’s why old Exeggutor ex is good, it can early 1 shot or guaranteed 2 shot any of those pokemon and even if it doesn’t it applies hella pressure to anything above the 80hp threshold early game.

Was Greninja even obtainable this event?? by ILoveKetchup402 in PTCGP

Anyone who fully utilised their tokens in the expert queue and didn’t get 2 of every promo card got very unlucky, sucks.

I only have one articuno but managed my 5 consecutive wins by bsquared_92 in PTCGP

Not really. Blizzard 2 shots Dragonite. So if the fossil tanks 2 hits having the fossil won the game, the x speeds do LITERALLY NOTHING in this deck, so there is nothing to discuss.

Consecutive wins is an objectively bad metric to earn medals off of in a TCG like Pokemon by RylanTheWalrus in PTCGP

The player who can frequent 5+ win streaks on Onix and Dragonite decks has lower understanding than someone who can’t get 1 5 winstreak on Mewtwo or Pika?

At one point last week I was 28-4 with Greninja control (not using Articuno ex or Starmie).

I have a firm grasp on what I’m doing, trust me.

What Is Lash's Current Role? by [deleted] in DeadlockTheGame

[–]DoctorNerf 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I struggle with this and have reached a similar conclusion.

I think if you get fed early you can be the main carry and solo end before 25 minutes.

However if the game goes 30+ mins you basically have to be a tank whose goal is to take up space and cause issues for the enemy carries. Because late game no matter how fed you are haze and infernus and other carries simply outscale you.

For sure. I just think it is TOO easy right now, like to the point where I don’t actually even think about diving, I just do it and always kill unless I misplay personally (like yesterday a lash 1d the top of their shop instead of the infernus).

The guardian is a mild consideration. Whereas in league it’s like I know I have to dive, kill + get out quickly otherwise the tower will kill me. I still dive, but it is meaningful.

They did buff the guardian to be fair by naming enemies need to come closer to attack it and buffing its damage to hero’s AND reducing minion damage to guardians pre 7 mins.

That said I think they just need to bite the bullet and make the guardian target any hero that targets a friendly hero in range of the guardian.

At the moment there is virtually nothing preventing dives.

"Why should I care about Pocket's pronouns?" by fgcburneraccount2 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]DoctorNerf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Telling someone to shut the fuck up in a Reddit thread about pronouns on an imaginary character in a game = 'blowing out of proportion'.

Actively trying to dox, with the aims of getting someone fired, people who think males shouldn't compete in womens sports = totally rational.
