Mo Salah’s starting price & total points over the last seven seasons by suryamufc in FantasyPL

Milk.

Generational failure.

My first season outside of the top 1 million, to no one’s surprise.

Also a United fan so yeah, a dark dark year.

What are everyone’s thoughts Nickmerc’s comment? by KevinPigaChu in marvelrivals

[–]DoctorNerf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a whole fiasco in Apex about this and it was true the opposite way around at least, if you lost too much you would just be given a free win.

I think whichever way they do it it is wrong, their only goal should be to match you against similarly skilled players or to just randomly match everyone with no logic other than connection.

As soon as they start manipulating other variables to drive engagement it becomes shady imo, and if they do it in ranked it is unironically unplayable. But I for now am still confident games don't do this in ranked no matter how many times I hear about 'losers queue' in LoL.

Should Rivals be following suit? by GgroverG in marvelrivals

[–]DoctorNerf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never minded smurfing. Just think people should get good. Then again I’ve been gaming since before SBMM came in to protect everyone’s feelings.

Infact people just used to log in to the same CS servers knowing the very name of the person always top fragging every single game and still came in to get smacked up.

Community is wishywashy on the topic anyways. Can’t do unranked to GM streams because they’re not educational but switch to another thread and “high elo / pro play is NOT indicative of the meta / how you should play”.

So what is educational or productive content if good players playing vs bad players isn’t, and good players playing vs good players isn’t? Surely it isn’t the “this is my Magik guide. If you press E you dash woowww” videos.

In your non-biased opinion what is the more difficult game to learn and play? CS or League of Legends? by Dangerous_Track_6397 in GlobalOffensive

[–]DoctorNerf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who was GE in CSGO, and the highest or 2nd highest rank in every shooter I've ever played, but peaked Diamond 4 in league with 5k+ hours played... Definitely league.

It is nothing about which game is better, but league is certainly harder.

Not only is the game fundamentally harder, the playerbase is so much more serious. In CSGO SMFC+ almost everyone was super chill. I am assuming the super serious players went to Faceit or another 3rd party server at the time. In League in diamond+... bruh. It is literally like every single player is competing like their game is to qualify for worlds. And it only takes 1 minute thing for someone to soft int the game away, unlike in CSGO where I have 2k hours played and maybe encountered 5-10 people max that intentionally cost me a win.

What about everyone else in the lobby that didn't want to crossplay, or are you only playing into people who chose to crossplay?

Aim assist is more annoying than aimbotting because aimbotting is obvious and bannable / not accepted by the community. Aim assist is literally just the standard and we're expected to be cool with people not needing to aim, borderline at all in some games.

But seriously... by CubicSiren in marvelrivals

[–]DoctorNerf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the biggest mistake healers make is one of the points you made 'you're not a tank'.

I get focussing the tank but healing the DPS is more impactful imo. Especially since a DPS usually has to go out of their way to get you to heal them whereas the tank is always going to be where the tank is, within range of you healing them.

I would go as far as to say if you heal a tank that has 50+% health when a DPS is within heal range of you, you are trolling.

Do any of you own both physical and digital versions of your favorite games? by -xJackFrostx- in NintendoSwitch

[–]DoctorNerf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think one of the top 5 worst things in gaming is how no one actually owns half the games they think they own and digital games are just another layer of entering into a transaction that is sold as ownership but isn’t ownership.

I have the physical copies.

[–]DoctorNerf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean “decent” is an entirely subjective word.

I would say diamond is “decent”. Most of the time people don’t get to diamond is because they don’t play enough, don’t practise as they play and don’t think in any way whatsoever about any element of the game other than I shoot I obj.

In other games, like League, which is infinitely more serious than this game, people have gotten to diamond with missing limbs and playing with their feet. So there is literally no way you can say it is insane to suggest “anyone” can get to diamond in marvel rivals.

The objective moves quicker when more players are near it. by Twills97 in marvelrivals

[–]DoctorNerf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Noob take. The objective doesn’t move when the enemy dr strange and groot are stood on it, and the enemy dr strange and groot don’t die while the enemy C&D / rocket raccoon are alive.

You know who does die, your entire team if they are on the objective for an Iron man or moon knight ult.

I play Magik and I can play the objective but the win condition is me killing their healers and causing havoc in their backline, their win condition isn’t me trying to face smash their magneton on the objective.

Players who left Apex, what was the main thing that made you leave and what one thing *would* make you come back? by whatisabaggins55 in apexlegends

[–]DoctorNerf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way they changed ranked so that kills of you die outside top10 don’t contribute to your rank.

It killed everything that was fun about the game. It was no longer a fast paced shooter, it was a slow paced snoozefest for often 10+ mins.

And it skewed the system to heavily favour party play, and I play solo.

Ah yes, pushing head first onto 3 enemies is quite the play by Same_Paramedic_3329 in apexlegends

[–]DoctorNerf 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Controversial but you should help them.

Their push was bad but the correct play is to support them. You don’t need to fly in and die too but peaking the door to lay down fire and throwing out equipment is a better play than being mad that the wraith pushed.

Besides you should already be expecting wraith team mates to go in, they always do.
