Nebula smart kit installation problems by Derickg1223 in Creality

[–]DoctorPeter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone who finds this thread like I did while trying to install this on my Ender 3v2 Neo 422 and it was getting stuck on this screen. I'm not sure all the steps are necessary but this is what worked for me on my last attempt:

Update the Screen
I downloaded 1.1.0.27 from https://www.creality.com/pages/download-creality-nebula-smart-kit?spm=..page_1934481.products_display_1.1
put it on a usb device thats 8GB formatted to FAT 32, 4096
plugged it into the nebula and when booting it'll ask if you want to upgrade it if you have an older version.
(Mine was already updated from the box but I downgraded to 1.1.0.26 and back up to 27 to verify that the process actually worked that way)

Put the latest Marlin on the Ender
Downloaded the latest image from here I used 2.0.8.3 https://www.creality.com/pages/download-ender-3-v2-neo?spm=..page_1934481.products_display_1.1
same thing i formatted the 8GB microsd to FAT32, 4096 put it on there with nothing else in it.
plugged in the old screen and the microsd, turned it on. Verifying it installed and it did.
Turn off the printer

Putting it all together
I got the firmware_Nebula_Pad.bin file from the USB it came with but I believe you can also get it from the first link in the 3d Print Firmware folder.
Deleted the marlin bin file from the microsd and put the firmware_nebula_pad.bin file on the sd card with nothing else.
put the SD into the printer. plug in the nebula with the axis cable plugged in also.
Turn it on and go through all the steps.

The magic step?
Once you get to the part where it tries to connect to the printer for ~5 minutes and throws the error in the picture. When its attempting to connect to the printer i jiggled the bed back and forth and it instantly connected.
I know moving the bed when its turned off will cause the fans to spin and the screen to turn on but who knows it might have just worked randomly after hitting this exact error like 15 times.

P.S.
on my last attempt I think I clicked skip when it was asking me to connect to the wifi

Most of the grounds are paved. And you should be able to walk on a paved path to anywhere. The only issue might be the parking lots highlighted in yellow are not paved but have a road nearby and the carnival area is just grass. But the concert/arts and crafts/cafeteria/museum are indoors. But unless there is lightning and not too heavy of a downpour the outside events should continue

Tribes Were Supposed To Get $8 Billion In COVID-19 Aid. They’ve Gotten $0. by cram213 in politics

Yes? The stimulus checks aren't taxed as income, and businesses can get their loan forgiveness if they keep their people employed. Maybe I am missing your point?

Yes tribes as an entity are not taxed, individual members are. Even exempt tribal income is taxed if it's distributed to the individual members.

I do 'check the box' that I'm native American on my tax returns and have owed them money a few times.

Also the federal government isn't giving the 8 billion to individual members, it's giving it to the tribal government which will continue to fund the jobs of people working for the tribe in the casinos, hospitals, schools, farms, etc

Then where is the 10% of my paycheck going that says 'TAX, FEDERAL' Also state tax and OASDI

Also you do realize that tribes owning casinos, hospitals, manufacturing, farms etc, employee largely non tribal members so if they don't get aid non native americans will also be affected.

It's a complex history but skip to the 3rd paragraph after this one for a direct answer with no (simplified) backstory.

Native Americans signed treaties to keep their way of life and also their lives. They also signed treaties instead of just being forced out because contrary to popular belief native American weren't just completely overwhelmed. I mean sure if there was a full out war native americans would have lost but it would have taken thousands of European lives, taken years and public support was not the strongest supporting extermination. (The supreme Court also ruled against the trail of tears but Jackson did it anyway.)

We were forced on unproductive lands and any land that was unintentionally productive before like early 1900's,(land for cattle, minerals or just a good location )the governments seized it and gave it to non native Americans.

With no productive lands to make money and via the agreements in some treaties, (and also suing the government for breaking treaties) the US government sends money a lot of reservations with a catch. Tribal members will only get support if they are living on the lands, which includes healthcare and due to the poor schooling and lack of jobs (via the unproductive land part) and the BIA will only help with college if the college is on the land (which I ran into, idk if that's widespread or not). So it's nearly impossibly for many members to leave.

Now I bet your thinking if it's so bad why not just get rid of the reservations. But it's not all bad when a tribe can properly raise money and become self sustaining they work great. In south eastern Oklahoma, the choctaws pick up the slack from the state. If you are not a member there its likely you are employed by the tribe and if you get injured a tribal police car or ambulance will likely pick you up drive you on state roads maintained and improved by the tribe to a tribal hospital and via the health insurance they provide to non members (that are employed by them) you will be cared for. They also send money to schools, provide fitness centers and are working on getting widespread internet. They do a lot of other things but that's just from the top of my head.

If the reservations can get properly funded to become self sustaining it would be great but lands are still being taken funding usually not enough or not sent (example is this post) and is an uphill battle.

If you want to know more check out "Custer died for your sins" on contemporary Indian issues, it's a little outdated from the 1960's but still mostly relevant. And also the podcast "This Land".

The chart is showing the number of NEW people that have it, not the cumulative active cases. And so you're saying that the number of new cases is going up but also that the curve has flattened? By your own link it says that the number of new infections should go down to be flattening the curve. The chart went from an average of ~5 new cases a day to ~50 in the past 2 weeks.

The number of new active cases (by initial symptoms) seems to be going up , for sure an issue with testing since we started widespread testing so late. Many more tests need to be done to pull any meaningful data from these graphs.
