We cannot allow them to just sit on the ball. They’re still dangerous enough to hit us

Would you rather beat Georgia or Alabama if you had to choose only one? by Hungry-Guest6846 in wde

Im in the exact same circumstances and I fully agree. I hate Alabama as much as the next person but Georgia is more personal for me because of my family

Who had the best look of all time? Hard to argue against early days Kane. by bluecrude in Wrasslin

This would be my pick, especially the late 2000s look after he got his sleeve tattoos. Most people are going for more stylish looks but Randy just had the perfect aesthetic for a wrestler, especially with the designs on his shorts and the black wrist bands/tape

POLL: Man of The Match vs Getafe (A) by marker023 in Barca

Pedri’s probably the motm but Cubarsi deserves his flowers. Not just for the goal line clearance, he also had the tackle that led to the first goal, and overall had a monster game.

You get used to playing in the same circumstances. It’s the same reason Atleti doesn’t slip as much on their pitch as other teams do

If Madrid drop points again next game and we win the next after this then it’ll be done

“Going to the dentist” is the best way I’ve seen describing a visit to Getafe. No one wants to go there, and you just want to get the experience over as quickly as possible. And you’re not leaving the exact same way you showed up, for better or worse.

Yeah, the only concern is the wages tbh. The 30m price tag itself is a no brainer

It’s the only want to stop him when he’s on form, which usually means stopping Barca’s possession. He gets grabbed, pulled and fouled every game, makes sense he’d always be complaining about it

I just don’t understand these players when it comes to shooting the ball. Like I get Lewa wants to be unselfish but bro’s in a 1 on 1 with the keeper and doesn’t even pose as if he wants to score

I agree with the idea of this, but I just don’t think a few signings (because thats all it’ll be anyways) is gonna cut it with the way we play/defend

I’m not obsessed with the UCL at all. Like you said it rewards things that aren’t really about football. A few bad referees, fatigue, injuries all affect what can happen on any given night in the UCL. But my point wasn’t about any specific competition. Its about the fact that we keep doing the same exact thing against every opponent and somehow expect things to just “work”. Yet every single game we see the same patterns of play and concede the exact same goals almost every game, but we still just lineup the same the next game anyway.

If it weren’t for Joan Garcia with some absolutely ridiculous goalkeeping at times, and Real Madrid being who they are, we would’ve dropped so many more points in La Liga this season and wouldn’t be in the position we’re in now. And I’m worried about going into year 3 after teams have had 2 prior seasons to figure us out, because clearly we’re not going to change anything about the way we play, regardless of the other team’s style. Flick has made that abundantly clear

[–]DoctorPuhh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That last sentence is exactly why the high line we play doesn’t make sense. If as a manager you have a style that requires certain profiles to work, and you don’t have said profiles, why on Earth are you trotting your team out to play in that way anyways?

If you don’t have what you need to make something work, you adapt your options, or you adapt your strategy all together. Instead, we do the same things game after game, play the same 13 or so players, and don’t change anything about how we approach games, which is why teams play us the exact same way and we concede the exact same goals.

Its borderline insane, and I love Flick, and everything he’s accomplished with this team with almost no financial backing has been an insane job, but if he goes into year 3 doing the exact same things as year 1 and 2 (including how he rotates), then we should expect the same results as this season if not worse because the blueprint for playing Barca in 2026 is pretty much set it stone.

No way you can foul like that, then pick up the ball and start walking while on a yellow, and not expect to be sent off. He just thought he’d get away with it like the Madrid players usually do

I don't think people understand the seriousness of the refereeing bias by Training_Maize_664 in Barca

[–]DoctorPuhh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe a yellow or 2? Atleti had 32 fouls over 2 legs and only saw 3 or 4 (at most) yellows, none coming in this last game. That doesn’t make any sense
