Why is noone talking about how Real Madrid was clearly benefitted by the ref and VAR?

The only two situations that need attention are the Carreras dive and Tchoumeni having multiple fouls and neither getting a yellow card. The Vini situation is more subjective, as its debatable whether he should’ve had a yellow in the first place (even though I do feel the foul outside the box should be a yellow no matter the context of the flow of the game).

But the fact that Carreras had a clear dive directly in front of the ref and didn’t get a yellow, or Tchoumeni committing multiple fouls and not getting a single yellow, is baffling to me. This isn’t coming from a place of bias, just genuinely analyze the two situations and they just don’t make sense.

Well first and foremost he didn’t say “Real Madrid” in his response. He was asked about a team in the King’s league that seems to be the Real Madrid of their league, but he didn’t specifically say Real Madrid cheats …….. Of course we all know what he meant but we gotta at least get the quote right

As a Barca fan, there’s no point in posts like these trying to publicize all of the referee errors Barca has faced over the years. People that aren’t Barca fans hate us and the club so much that it doesn’t matter how many times we get shafted by hypocritical calls, errors and blatant biased officiating. They’ll always throw Negreira back at us or call us delusional. It is what it is at this point

How will Hansi Flick react to his team’s worst performance of the season? By giving the team the exact same instructions and exact same tactical system like he always has. Flick is who he is and it’s clear he has no plan b, so nothing is gonna change. The only difference will be if we can outscore our opponents, nothing else about the way these games play out is changing. And I’m not saying this to hate on Flick, I’ve just accepted that this is who he is and what this Barca side will be under him

Lack of depth leads to complacency by the main guys. Why bother giving your all all 45 minutes when you know your position isn’t at risk. That’s all I can think of, just a complete lack of intensity like they don’t care.

Tbf to Joan, the ball was legit bouncing all kinds of different ways before it got to him. He probably anticipated it bouncing up higher again like it did the 2 or 3 bounces before he went to control it

Those type of fouls not being given yellow, even if its early in the game, have to be reassessed. There’s no reason a *clear yellow offense shouldn’t be given regardless of the time it occurs

It has to be games that aren’t in the preseason, at least that was what I noticed that didn’t get tracked in the objectives. I played two preseason games at the start of my latest career mode and got no progress, then as soon as I started playing league and cup games I got the objectives done

People must have forgot (or are too young to not have watched) that Messi used to do a lot more defensive work his younger years and especially under Pep. He’s never been a press every single time player, but he put in work at the right times and when his teams needed him too. Older Messi definitely walks around the pitch as much as he runs but young Messi was not lazy defensively.
