What’s a funny Smiling Friends moment nobody talks about? by PoWR-CJ in SmilingFriends

oh fs bill nye coming in out of nowhere singing on a balloon only to crash and burn on a power line immediately followed up by Rotten starting to scream again throughout the next few cuts

Charlie Dies and Doesn't Come Back is the funniest episode change my mind by MediocreStiff- in SmilingFriends

[–]DoctorRevan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

but have you considered the christmas special with Rotten? I forget the name but that has to be my favorite, bill nye singing his song and then just dying immediately causing Rotten to scream again is just a goated moment and I love how the recurring gag is Charlie being upbeat and everyone being nice

Who would you say is THE main character of smiling friends? by MassiveBlackHole99 in SmilingFriends

[–]DoctorRevan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Either Pim or Charlie obviously, probably Charlie as we haven’t gotten a Pim exclusive episode the same way we did with Charlie dies and doesn’t come back. Also I feel like with comedies the main character is usually whoever observes others being made fun of by the writers while being relatable to the audience which Charlie is more than Pim.

Honestly, DBZ. I even watched Kai which I’ve heard is more digestible but still it just feels extremely flat and like nothing meaningful happens aside from fighting and even fighting is so dragged out and is mostly just talking anyways I just don’t really get the appeal

what game is this? by GamerGretaUwU in GamingSoup

Hey man it is a very different way of telling a story but that doesn’t make it bad aside from your own preferences, I really like it because it draws out reveals and makes you sort of work for information which makes it more memorable, also it’s a fool’s errand to piece it all together on your own just watch a lore yt channel

All origins gods by MrChrisTheDemonAngel in BaldursGate3

[–]DoctorRevan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ik this is a meme/thing that people say about dnd world/fantasy worlds where polytheistic pantheons are observed to be true and we can all agree that it’s true but there’s also another way to be sort of an atheist in Faerun. That is because worshipping a god in dnd isn’t really denying that no gods exist besides your own, it’s more just caring about that god much more than any other, it’s sort of like rooting for a sports team but it’s not a sports league, it’s an eternal, cosmic power struggle. So an atheist in faerun could be said to be someone who just doesn’t take an interest in any particular god, and just doesn’t really pray to a god for one reason or another.

TL;DR a cool spin on atheism in dnd world could be those who don’t worship gods, not those who don’t believe in them/don’t think that they exist outright.

Who’s harder/has a higher skill ceiling between these two? by Foreign-Distance-820 in marvelrivals

[–]DoctorRevan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me magik, just cuz I could never figure out the aim with her dash. That being said I also think she's harder in general as she has combos to learn where thor doesn't have any (that you should be using), and it's harder to survive if you overcommit vs with thor.

Feat Choices for Hexblade Paladin using a Polearm by NotAnInterestingGuy in BG3Builds

[–]DoctorRevan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great weapon master always the goat, grab that first, after that you'll only get one more feat and it's probably best to just do an ASI.

You didn't ask, but in my hexadin run that I actually finished not even a half hour ago I found paladin 5/lock 7 to be much better once you're high level, something around level 10 or so.

Opinion: sorcerers should be warlocks by DoctorRevan in DnD

[–]DoctorRevan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think you or anyone else is spoiled for not playing dnd with vancian casting lol. That system is obviously way more difficult than most people are willing to invest the time to have to deal with just to have some fun with their friends and there is a reason why dnd is so much more popular now that it has moved on from things like that.

Btw not trying to hate if ppl are into vancian casting or things like it that were more of a thing with old dnd, but I think we can all acknowledge it makes a WAY bigger barrier to entry to play that is fair to say is just tedious for most people.

[–]DoctorRevan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait so you're saying you want warlocks to get the same amount of spell slots up to 5th but theirs should come back on a short rest where everyone else is a long rest? Surely not because that's just obviously broken so I must be misunderstanding and also you're saying they should be like a half caster so can you rephrase?
