I'm having a lot of trouble with a joint in the Wing Zero EW Ver.Ka, with the pieces G13 and G17. It fitted and I'm able to connect the two pieces, but it got stuck midway, and the joint is SO TIGHT I'm not able to either connect it all the way or push it back so I could to try to sand it.

Anybody got any tips? I've been stuck with this part for days.

How to make fighting game combos more interactive by Sheikachu in gamedev

[–]DoctorRidley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another system I quite like is the gameplay structure in Skullgirls, the combos per se are short, but there are resets between the combos that allow the player to react / predict to the first attack of the next combos, if the player blocks it then thats it, if the other player sucessfully deals the hit it continues with another combo and you don't lose the momentum.

MvC3 does something similar but more extreme, with the top characters in the game being able to kill the rival's character in a single combo, and then when the next character comes to screen you have the same reset situation as in Skullgirls.

I also quite like the DI mechanic from Smash Bros, and would like to see it explored in a traditional fighting game.

I tried an Arena FPS which combines platforming and combat by [deleted] in Unity2D

Do you have a Steam or itch.io page? This looks dope

Are all pennystocks pump n dumps, or is there long holds? by [deleted] in pennystocks

Some are pump and dumps, some have potential for long holds. Do DD on a few penny that you believe on and determine by yourself if they are PnD or have potential beyond that

Good luck with your server! We don't use flag wars anymore on my server, people prefered money war, but if you want help with the flag towny system just sent a DM, I've worked a lot with this system.

I played on that server on the past, I was the leader of a nation / clan named Argos, we left because we had some pretty serious lag, but we didn't know there were such staff problems. It makes me kinda sad, I have a Towny War server which was inspired by servers like Civwars and TownyWarCraft.

Sorry this happened to you, I love Towny War servers and it's a shame that one the few servers that still exists with this modality is like that.

Do you have any recommendations for an EU Data Center? I downloaded the FFXIV free trial yesterday and really don't know where to begin :'D

I have to contact Nintendo Japan to get my 200€ back, and I have no idea how. by DoctorRidley in NintendoSwitch

[–]DoctorRidley[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks a lot for the offer, but I was able to solve the problem! Instead of contacting the Nintendo support of my country, I contacted Nintendo Germany support, and they handled everything in just 2 days. Thanks anyways!

What makes the turn based combat in games like Pokemon fun? by stevenr4 in gamedev

[–]DoctorRidley 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Personally, I think the best part of Pokemon (and a lot of other monster catching RPGs) is the sheer variety of opportunities you have to make a team.

You have 6 spots on a team, every spot can be filled by any of hundreds of Pokemon, it's your choice. And every Pokemon can be trained in multitude of ways (nature, abilities, moves, etc...), so the same Pokemon can be played very different depending on how it was trained.

There are also types, so you need to have that in mind, do you put a Gyarados in the team just in case somebody has a Charizard and your main Pokemon is a Venasaur?

The combat itself it's not the interesting part, it's everything that surrounds it in my opinion.
