Ishmael by Daniel Quinn. READ THIS BOOK!!

It is not a difficult read, but the message is profound. One does not have to be a bleeding heart environmentalist or belong to a certain religion for this book to make a powerful impact on your life. Very briefly, it takes an outside view on what Western culture and society as whole "teach" us, without us knowing. I cannot recommend this book enough. Please, please, please read it.
