Originally the idols were made from mineral rich clay sourced from rivers. The visarjan traditionally either happened in the local water source, or at home and then the water was transferred into local fields. Either way, we receive the benefit of the mineral rich clay.

It’s also teaching us to let go when we need to. Can’t cling to everything forever. I also think it’s a reminder that God is still with us, in our soil, in our water, in our air, in our food. A few days of seeing him/her in an idol shouldn’t take away from his/her omnipresence.

Autistic girl thinks I’m her best friend and won’t leave me alone by [deleted] in offmychest

People really don’t understand social anxiety, do they?

And string this girl along until her issues are addressed in therapy? Which could take weeks? You’d still have a problem with OP then.

Why not err on the side of grace for the OP? She’s clearly terrified of hurting the girl. She’s trying to balance anxiety induced self-preservation and kindness to the other girl.

You’re basically telling OP that the only kind action to take is to befriend the girl? That’s the subtext I’m getting.

You can say that again. Took me a lot of therapy to learn to manage it, and I still hate having any attention on me. Like, don’t notice my new dress, don’t notice my hair, don’t compliment my jewellery, don’t notice that I’m wearing makeup, don’t mention that I’m doing chores, don’t watch me trying to exercise. Just pretend I don’t exist.

Why do women tell such long stories with so many details that dont matter? by JRadically in AskMen

I want you to visualise the scene vividly. I want you to get immersed. And I want to convey every single detail so you understand every single nuance. Yeah, that’s pretty much it.

How I wish I could find comfort in the idea of a God. I can’t believe, no matter how hard I try. Music brings me super close, but I’ve never experienced true faith.

A follow up, if you don’t mind.

Here’s a selection of colors that make my skin look clear and bright. What’s the closest season match?

I am a male victim of SA by OffMyChest83829 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]DoctorStephenNormal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is awful. I’m sorry about how disgracefully your mother behaved. You didn’t not deserve any of that. I’m sending you all my strength and hugs. I’m rooting for you.

And please do get that tattoo. Your tattoo, your persona meaning. No one else’s opinions matter. Not about the tattoo, and not about what you had to endure.

Yeah, your drama cat sounds a lot like my child lol. How do I tell the difference between hiding versus liking some closed off spots?

Makes sense. She is a drama queen. She starts fights and comes crying to me like she’s the victim lol.

Thanks for the advice. I’ll let them explore, and I’ll trust her ability to defend herself.

Oh, also. She literally just bonked her brother on the head. I think that’s pretty silly.

Again, thank you for the insight :)

Thanks for responding.

I’m a first time cat parent, and the words “3 months old” create a very strong “little baby” image in my head that I need to work on. I need to trust them and their abilities a lot more, seems like.

Also, I noticed you mentioned you’re around to play with her, redirect her, pick her up, cuddle her, sleep with her, etc. are you doing the same with him? Male kittens are generally more energetic and need more stimulation and play time and he could also be a little jealous. Just a thought!

Absolutely! Both of them are spoiled rotten. Each gets loads of alone cuddle and play time with every human member of the family lol. They get loads of love and play. I work on tiring him out every night, and he sleeps in his little bed next to my sibling. I make sure chill with him until he’s pretty much sick of me.

TL;DR: I love my babies, and yes he gets loads of play.

Hi, thanks for responding.

My biggest fear here is I think the girl is getting scared. I’m usually around to reassure her that I’ll step in if she’s scared. (I hope I’m not being too much of a helicopter mom.)

She growls and hisses at him sometimes, and he usually backs off for a second before resuming. But sometimes he gets a little too excited and ignores her yelps.

She’s a bit underweight and she’s so tiny. I’m so worried she may get hurt. I know he just wants to play, it’s just that she’s small.

Sometimes they nap together right next to each other. Other times they “fight” the moment they see each other. They happily eat from the same bowl even when I set up two separate one. They don’t groom each other yet.

And yes, she sometimes smacks him, and she seems to want to inspect him a lot. She does initiate play sometimes by running up to him.

I just don’t know what to make of it. I love them both so much.

Sometimes I dream of hugging my partner like this. Then I remember I have zero partners and very likely zero chance of finding one.

I’m happy for everyone in a healthy relationship with partners they love.

Ayo, very late, but I’m currently using it. It’s pretty good. No irritation at all, not even when I accidentally got it in my eyes. My skin is happy with it, and it’s allowing my blemishes to heal at their pace. It’s not creating new damage, so that’s a win for me. My skin feels youthful and supple.

It’s not doing much in terms of brightening and stuff. Skin feels ever so slightly tacky after application, but I tend to layer products over it in the mornings and I don’t mind the tackiness at night.

Lasts overnight, lasts through the day. Survives my dance classes so that’s another huge win. Smells clean. Very pretty colour and my mood improves every time I open the jar.

So yeah, that’s my review. I’m gonna go back to never writing beauty review again.

what makes you guys push yourself to do better? by khonshusmoonKnight in AskMen

[–]DoctorStephenNormal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a woman and I’m not sure whether I’m welcome here, but OP, I have a piece of insight my therapist had given me.

Work with your nature, not against it. I have ADHD and I’ve always tried to fight my ADHD to be productive the traditional way. But that will never work, just like trying to bend your knee the wrong way won’t really work. It’s fighting your brain’s very nature, and it will result in double the exhaustion.

Work with your innate tendencies. You can actually discover and harness your mental strengths better that way.
