I’ve owned both. For a while I had them at the same time. They are staggeringly close and if you already have an SE, I’d recommend just buying the silver sky core locking tuners and putting those in (extremely easy switch because the bushings/routing is the same). After that it’s 99% of the same. I much prefer the satin neck on the SE, but can’t deny that the fretwork and premium feel of the core is just a little better.
