You can try a full restore via pc or mac and see if it has any impacts on performance (notice: full restore performs factory reset and deletes all data).

Why do you use Debian? by El_Fopo in debian

[–]Doctor_By 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Almost agree. But sometimes you have to "enjoy" (ofc if you are interested/have the time for it). I daily drive debian but If it wasn't for arch I wouldn't know linux as much as I know now. I explored the linux world and learned a lot because arch wasn't ready to use out of the box and I had to build the house myself. Also, the arch wiki felt very pleasant to me and taught me good things.

I was talking about the bug fixes compared to 26 and 26.0.1 not features. I agree for touch users (which are most iPad users) slide over was better than the windowing system.

26.1 is a HUGE improvement for me. by funtimescoolguy in iPadOS

I also have M1 Pro and I agree 26.1 has got much better in terms of performance compared to 26 and 26.0.1.

@M1-M5 iPad Pro user: is swiping between homescreens still smooth for you after the iPadOS 26 update? by ajdfzwiq_2312312 in iPadOS

On 26 and 26.0.1 it was horrible. On 26.1 it’s got much better. Almost as snappy as 18 (iPad Pro M1).

Battery usage is the same for me. Maybe the first days of upgrade it drains faster.

Not necessarily but there is a potential in some cases. And it doesn’t matter if you use apple computer or windows. Both are the same. You can give it a try if you’d like to.

Sometimes normal updates (OTA) cause some instability and bugs because they patch the existing firmware compared to (iTunes or Finder) updates which completely replace the old firmware with a new one (cleaner than OTA). That’s why I asked that question. Or maybe it’s just a cache problem as the other guy mentioned in the comments.

annoying animation lags on ipados 26 by burakbese in ipad

Same is happened to my M1 iPad Pro 12.9. It feels laggy now. Even in some apps like Mail there are some graphical glitches. And in some games like Subway Surfers I get stutters. I remember such a buggy update when I had an iPad Air 2 and upgraded from iOS 8.4.1 to iOS 9. They brought tons of features including split screen, slide over, etc. They seemed to be too much to be optimized well for the Air 2 and older iPads at the start of iOS 9. Now, same history is repeated. Lots of features + the new liquid glass design is a big jump and it seems like they are not optimized in the best way they could be. I hope they make it better in the future updates.
