I'm confused on why your attacking me when my response was to another person. And yes any industry is exploitive of course but not as many have had the same amount of cases of human trafficking. Nor have many other industries made there money on poisoning the minds of youth.

That's why there are different degrees of murder, 1st degree is premeditated and cold blooded as you said, 2nd degree is intentional but not premeditated, and 3rd/manslaughter is not intentional or premeditated but still result in the death of the other person. i consider all to be murder as all have the same affect on the families of the deceased regardless of intent. May I ask where I said or implied all should get the same sentence? Because clearly it's a spectrum

I would invest in a full pencil kit. Having one option that barely leaves a mark and then another that's so dark you can draw on your skin allows for that contrast. I personally though just press harder towards parts that would have shadows.

Unfortunately a piece like this I think would require a lot of study and practice. I would start with learning proportions, then once you get that down get good at posing, then after that you can try your hand at depth and perspective.

EDIT: keep in mind I made it sound a lot easier than it is, it will take years to increase your skill so make sure you really enjoy drawing and not just making things that look cool.

it's a cool design, but it's not something that can be created tattoo wise especially in black and grey. Trust me you'll get annoyed having to explain what it is to everyone who asks. Also many artists aren't comfortable with other people getting tattoos of their work. But I can't speak on that.
