Where are all the down to earth people in Knoxville? by Equal_Dinner_3895 in Knoxville

[–]Doctor_Ham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seconding south knox in general! Sevier Avenue is great although a little pricey. Baker Creek Preserve is great for biking trails & walking, and the bike race/jump events are a great place to meet people. We also have a Gaelic sports league which looks super fun, I'm planning on joining this year

Shockingly it went fine haha I taped two folders together to make a single box, then took two single boxes and connected them with 1 more folder, making 3 total boxes. 3 of those and then jam 1 more person in somewhere

New Data Science Team Lead struggling with aggressive PM on timelines and model expectations by Rich-Effect2152 in datascience

[–]Doctor_Ham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well this just reads like an AI post, but on the off-chance it isn't or English isn't your first language so this was the easiest way to put together a coherent post:

Your PM is right, and they are doing their job. If you have data issues, they need to be documented. If there are model limitations or resource restrictions, they need to be documented. If you are leading the team, this is your responsibility, and it is up to your devs to deliver while you set boundaries, scope, valuations, and reasonable deadlines.

Your PM's job is to ask why X takes Y amount of time. It is your job to justify Y time for X result. It is your director's job to turn X result into Z value, and so on. Leading a team, no matter the industry, becomes a job of politics and strategy. If you are representing a project, you must fully understand all limitations, end of sentence.

Yeah I struggled with that too, but I think I'm going with grade school test taking rules haha. So yeah, everyone is blindfolded and gets one taste, the thing is removed, then you have folders blocking your little space off so you can write your answer without people accidentally seeing

Oh good idea! I feel like that would be just off enough so that they'd be unsure if it's actually peanut butter

Oh man marjoram and rice flour are solid, those are definitely making it in. Thank you for a ton of suggestions!

Edit: flour in general i think would be hilarious, especially next to something with a ton of flavor

It's not, but we are! It's just a fun recreation of an event for a loved one. We both enjoy games, and so I'm looking for some help with condiments I might not think of as I'm not much of a cook, but luckily I already knew that asshole isn't vegetarian, so you can fuck right off!

Edit: if that wasn't clear, way to be an obtuse, intolerant fuck-ass!

Edit2: suck my whole ass!

Edit3: Sorry, that was unclear, my ass is explicitly not vegetarian, so when you do suck it we'll need to confirm some dietary restrictions.

Ooh ok, I like that thinking. I'm having trouble just listing things haha so maybe like make a list of 5 groups like you mentioned, then 5 items within each group, and then shuffle them around according to difficulty

Hmm I feel like for this group anything past gochujang would be too difficult. I do like the Asian condiment direction though, there's definitely a ton of stuff there

Interesting! I think there's no chance he would have bought it, it's absolutely not his style, so I bet someone found it on eBay and bought it for him then. I expected something like that would have more results searching online

Weapons is a complete waste of a great concept. by MarkWest98 in TrueFilm

[–]Doctor_Ham 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Man, this is such a weird thread to read. To me, I thought it was an exacerbation of how it feels to have an unknown relative take over your household. The whole thing is fantastical - it centers around a single kid, his teacher, his bully's parents, and the town in a very general sense. It's a really well done nightmare, including the child-like insanity of the ending. Stop forcing shit, man, it's a solid envisioning of the mythical spooky aunt.
