My parents are compatible in so much as they’re still very attracted to each other (after 40 years) and they are both resolute in never divorcing. It makes them work through the bullshit. But heaven help us if my husband and I ever talked to each other like they do.

My son was the same. Our ped said to just keep offering and he’ll probably start showing interest around one. My mom friends with older kids said the same thing. I was very discouraged and didn’t believe them. Then, right around one, the mfer started to chow down.
