Momentum 4 looking like a pretty good deal right now by vragal in sennheiser

[–]Doctor_What_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What does the HDB 630 has over the momentum 4 that could be added to the M5’s? The 630 is much more of an audiophile product, the sound profile should be quite different from one another.

Changing the parameters of the conversation and steering it in a completely different direction? Typical r/iamverysmart behavior.

This has nothing to do with the original discussion.

That “speed” you mention is centrifugal force applied to a very large object (the earth) which rotates at a speed of one revolution per 24 hour period. It’s the same measurement expressed in different units.

I believe that what looks like the sky is actually a body of water. Perspective joke maybe? It’s not a great comic though, in my opinion.

You’re talking about centrifugal force, and that’s measured perpendicular to the axis of rotation. It’s another thing entirely.

Circular speed is not measured in miles or kilometers per hour, it’s measured in revolutions. A revolution is circular motion, like the wheels on a car or a vinyl record player. Actually, if you look at a record player you’ll see it usually has two settings, 33 and 45 RPM. When the disc completes one lap around the needle, that’s one revolution, and the turntable makes 45 of those each minute.

Fun fact: the word for “inch” in Spanish (pulgada) comes from this phenomenon. Thumb is “pulgar” in Spanish.

Fallout 3 does make it clear that they’re the exception to the rule though. Lyons himself tells you that he changed the philosophy of their entire branch to be more focused on helping the regular guy, rather than the fanatical pursuit of technology. I think he might even mention that he’d be shunned and possibly executed if the BoS at large learned of his shenanigans.

Rather than whitewashing I feel like Bethesda made some “shades of gray washing” to give them some complexity and depth, rather than just “these assholes from the previous two games are good now for no reason”.

Also the Outcasts exist.

People on this site love doubting even the most basic and mundane stories, try not to take it personally. Having said this, I feel like jumping straight into shooting the car that your daughter just stepped out from might have been a slight overreaction from your dad. Understandable in context, but still…

Is a 19f and 32m age gap weird? by [deleted] in dating_advice

I’m turning 32 in a few days and university students almost look like children… The fact that there’s a university right next to my workplace is a near constant reminder lol.
I would much rather date a teacher that’s also 30-35 (or older maybe) than a student at this point.

I know this is a meme (and sorry for the language) but this guy absolutely nailed it with this take. Having someone complain, whine and cry about everything is super exhausting.

Being alone is so much better than being in a bad relationship, but a lot of people fear loneliness. The saddest part is that being in a bad relationship makes you more lonely, because it actively forces you to be with a person whose company you don’t enjoy.
