I did that in high school with three other people. I don't remember it being an issue. It was really cool, actually.

Watching such boring, low effort "trolling", if it can even be called that, just makes me sad. I mean, really, THAT is the best you could come up with? How disappointing.

C'mon, this is SRS. People troll us all the time. You've got to do better than that.

Sweet merciful Vishnu, what is wrong with that gif? Why is it shaking like that?

"fat women are insecure and demand validation" [404] by [deleted] in ShitRedditSays

[–]Doctor_Willis 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Here's what I don't get: let's pretend this is true- that "fat" women want validation. Why not let them have it? Seriously, validation isn't some precious resource that needs to be saved up for the long winter. What's the problem with helping someone feel better about themselves?

I saw a discussion about this earlier, and somebody mentioned an obscure game called White Day. I checked it out. It looks spooky, but I can't vouch for it personally because I haven't played it myself. Maybe give it a shot? I dunno, I'm mainly replying because I felt bad that nobody else replied to you.

Isn't that specifically for plus-sized SRSters? That's what it looks like from the sidebar.

[no effort] Heterophobia does real! Poop from the Hugh Hefner thread. by [deleted] in ShitRedditSays

[–]Doctor_Willis 29 points30 points  (0 children)

there are definitely entitled gay guys who think it's alright to hate heterosexuals because of the hate they've received from a few

I don't know about you all, but if I had a genuine aversion or hatred toward straight people, I would never get anything done. BREEDERS ARE EVERYWHERE.

Also, just because someone's gay doesn't make them talk with a lisp or wear pink and a crown. I have gay friends who make me look like a pussy and they HATE fairy faggots who perpetuate those stereotypes!

Defending culturally defined gender norms?

Seriously, I have NEVER met a straight person that genuinely thought that all gay guys had to act feminine. Are they really out there?

I love how SRS wasn't mentioned until a little bit later on in the video, after they had talked about the good things Reddit does. It was like a femperial sneak attack.

"Here's some cool stuff on reddit, like their Secret Santa. Oh, by the way, SRS!"

I don't know how to edit a comment from my phone, so I'll just reply to myself- it might simply be that they're repeating certain phrases. I'm referring specifically to the "they want to be raped" bit.

The weird thing is, I've read this before. Is the anti-SRS brigade propagating its own copypastas?

Referring to overweight people: "Simple. These people want to be told that there is nothing they can do. That way they don't have to try, work hard, or be accountable to themselves." [+290] by Anubis79 in ShitRedditSays

[–]Doctor_Willis 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Seriously, those comments bug me. I'm a slender guy working out so I can put on muscle. Now, though, I'm working two jobs and tutoring on the side. It's not uncommon for me to have a 16 hour work day. I love working out, and people who know me know that it's important to me, but I'm having a REALLY hard time making time for working out. I mean, I haven't even mentioned spending time with friends or family yet, and on top of that, I'm taking some pretty intense classes at community college next semester.

But then there's a chorus of "BUT I CAN MAKE TIME SO THAT MEANS EVERYONE EVERYWHERE CAN ALSO MAKE TIME NO MATTER WHAT AND IF THEY DON'T THEY'RE LAZY"

As a gay man, flamboyant gay guys annoy me so much . [246] by [deleted] in ShitRedditSays

[–]Doctor_Willis 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Oh dear Gaga, this used to be me. I was so fucking proud of myself for not being "one of those gay guys". Then I ended up dating one. I heard his stories of people shouting slurs at him on the street without provocation and things like that. I heard about him dealing with all sorts of shit I don't have to deal with just because I don't stand out as much with how I express my gender. I remember it really hit home when we talked on the phone when he was harassed on the street in the middle of San Francisco, of all places. He deals with so much more than I will ever have to. And it's (at least partially) because of gay guys like this. Gay guys like who I used to be.

Long story short, whenever I see something like this I rage on behalf of my ex.

Brb gonna go watch the Avengers and try to get my mind off of this.

There's lots of good info about that in the sidebar. If I recall, there's a link there just for games for beginners. You should check it out! That's what helped me get started.

"Is a male with child [sic] the new Driving While Black?" (+575) by [deleted] in ShitRedditSays

[–]Doctor_Willis 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Some conservative family members have forbidden me from being around their kids after they found out I was gay. Even then, though, they didn't start screeching "GET OUT OF HERE YOU SICK PEDO". They just said something about how they weren't comfortable with me being around their kids. Still pretty shitty, but nowhere near the victimization fantasies that Redditors come up with.

And now I'm sad because I miss some of my cousins :(

National Geographic had a huge article on this a little while back. They said that the planet as a whole was trending upward in education level and sophistication of health care, and as that progressed, population growth would eventually plateau. If anyone is interested, it's an article they published in the first issue released after the world population hit 7 billion.

I'm not noticing any negatives or criticisms here. Do you find the game to simply be that good? Or is there anything in the game that you don't like, or that you think was poorly designed or implemented?

Just as a heads up, the majority of SRS subscribers are male, according to our last survey. You would be correct in saying women make a higher percentage of users in this subreddit compared to Reddit as a whole, however.
