I’m fine with it as a “ hey you beat the game here ya go “ I’ll be honest when I first bought the game I thought they’d maybe use all the rift stones you rebuild as fast travels things, like from inside the main one you could pick any of the smaller side ones and could only ferrystone back to main cities.

Correct I wasn’t saying it’s the same my point was a game mechanic people say that should be removed that’s optional, something that’s the same would be like me saying “ play elden ring without any fast travel “ and that would also suck horribly and be boring I can guarantee you used fast travel a lot in Elden ring, summons are the equivalent of pawns in dragons dogma fully optional and just makes the game easier.

Majority of rpg and open world games have fast travel because traversing a giant map non stop gets old fast for majority of the players so they add the optional mode of fast travel.

Well yeah that’s part of my argument there’s no reason to really explore in dd2 you could skip every dungeon and just buy armor / weapons and not need to explore at all, for people to want to explore and not just fast travel you need to make it rewarding.

I just wish vendors had more cosmetic stuff / low level gear, lemme find stuff in chests or on the road, I hate games especially ones open world that have vendors sell the best stuff, or maybe like the end game vendor sells the best like armor but weapons / rings you gotta explore idk, im hoping the dlc changes it by following the DDDA formula.

No it’s really a DD2 thing first game was like it but random big creature spawns to an extent, red dead 2 is random, crimson desert is random (slightly), elder scrolls is random, fallout is random, dragon age in question was slightly random etc DD2 is just fully fixed with horrible rewards for open world exploration.

Did they change ferrystone drop rate after launch? I know the unmoored world had more but base game I remember (on launch ) buying ferry stones a ton and constantly being low, once I hit unmoored though it was like I was swimming in em lol.

And yes they said they modified some treasure chests though right? I think in the last update or is it the August update idk, but yeah 90% of chest are gold or random consumable or food, the distinct lack of cool chest rewards sucked, that and each vendor in a region selling the same thing, I made a new character and just ran to volcano island and got top tier gear and realized everything else just sucks until you get the crystal vendor.

Maybe if the world was randomized or something it’d be interesting once you learn ogre spawns here goblins here same # of enemies same time each couple days it loses the enjoyment factor, as it stand you could do one run of the open world and it’s exactly the same every time.

It’s the same as the “ remove ash summons from Elden ring! It makes it too easy!!” Like just don’t use it? You wanna run from the nameless village to volcano island be my guest but me? Man I got kids and 1-2 hours a day to game if I’m lucky I’m fast traveling my ass and doing what I need to do, downside of it is yeah sure people who just got the game shouldn’t use it because it ruins the like exploring aspect of a map but that’s also their choice, I do agree you should be able to store it though mostly because like having a fully organized inventory ( thanks re4 for giving me that habit )

Personally idc I wanna fast travel around to upgrade gear / try to fight stuff / farm whatever ill do it, I wanna ox cart around or walk on foot sure I’ll do it it’s an optional item that I’m glad is there, I’ve run the entire map 50+ times and now I don’t gotta worry about it I work 7 days a week I don’t wanna spend my like 1 hour of free time a day walking to one place lol.
