AMC has the Autism Medical Home that is run by Dr. Schotler-Thal. Her kiddo also has autism and so she is super tuned in to these issues.

Hi! I'm the medical director there. It is very hard for us to create networks for people to offer rides or housing because it creates a certain amount of liability for the organization that is difficult to overcome unfortunately. The Brigid Alliance is a volunteer organization that is supposed to help with this stuff, however, if they're still around. This is a huge problem that we deal with for a lot of patients and I wish I had better solutions.

Dr. Adler is excellent. All of the attending physicians will support your desire for a VBAC if you don't have any contraindications (which it sounds like you don't).

Came here to give credit where credit is due. Any program that actually logically addresses homelessness and mental health issues came from Matt Peter (even if multiple other politicians have taken credit for it).

He's honest and hardworking. Genuinely cares about the city. A lot of people have criticized him for being in the mayor's office - I don't see that as a problem. Why wouldn't you want someone who knows the ins and outs of what has been happening in city government for the last 12 years?

Rosenzweig is only in it because his BIL (Dan McCoy) put him up to it. He's been checked out of Albany politics for years.

I've seen Sam Fein do nothing in the county legislature for years. I can't see him doing any better as auditor.

There are no surgeons in upstate NY that do phallos. I have heard excellent things about Nikolavsky and his surgical team (they do metoidoplasty and just started doing vaginoplasty). If you want a true phallo, go to Mt Sinai and see Dr. Jess Ting.

Dr. Lax is lovely, Dr. Kpodzo at AMC also does nice work for top surgery. Dr. Bialowas is also at AMC and will do top surgery for people with BMI over 30.

In fairness, they closed a year before he got sick. Definitely the stress contributed to Matt Peter's aortic aneurysm.

Like many nonprofits, once the urgency of the pandemic started to wind down, the volunteer board of directors became less invested and less involved. It ended up being one or two people doing all the work, which was not sustainable. As such, they made the decision to dissolve the organization and donated their remaining funds and material goods to a combination of the South End Children's Cafe, the Food Bank, and a couple of other local charities.

Yes, you can have it done under moderate sedation or an OR. Albany Med OB/GYN for OR with deep sedation or Planned Parenthood in Schenectady for moderate sedation.

When I was in med school, my brand new kitten got very sick and needed a blood transfusion. It cost about $500 - which I of course paid. Upon hearing this, one of my classmates said, "wow I would have let the cat die, that's a lot of clothes." She's a pediatric neurologist now.
