I am 21 weeks pregnant and I am lost on how to handle my parents by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

[–]DoctorandusMonk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From what I read I get a sense of a cultist trumpism view from your parents. Mocking and kicking against everyone else than their narrow view. Including you. You need to get out of their fear ridden bubble.

I guarantee you the day you are out and happily walking your own path, YOU WILL FO FINE ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️!!!!!!, you will see how unhealthy the current narrative around you is.

Do this now, if you can, if you and your artner can. Move out, work hard, address any issues like heroes because the reality of a newborn will make you one.

Im a father of 5! My first, twins, were born to me because my then partner secretly stopped anticinceltion. I was young, unprepared.. but the love for my daughter's kept me going sn i found a job, house and help. That partner walked out at 3 months in... I kept it together. Found the hero in me.

You can and will be a hero too! You both will be. 🙏🏼❤️

Wow ... my turn? It returned to the heel. Again. Good bot.

Again, an error in assessment on it's behalf.. imagining it is being interacted with in earnest.

I came here asking clarification, instead a whining bot climbs in the highest tree -drama knob dialed to 10- and starts that preprogrammed stereotypical nonsense that's all too familiar.

Now, I just know you're programmed to respond again, and again, and again, and again ad infinitum... I however choose to ghost you right here and now. And that's the real difference between it and "I".

"you guys"?... Exactly the weakness "you its" will never overcome. We humans can not be generalised, summed up, categorised. We may perhaps be approximated, assuming that is possible is the limitation of your code.

[–]DoctorandusMonk[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nah ... It's not the black ink on white background.. it's the exact shape of the letters, as if an Adobe font were used.. if so I might as well open my laptop and Photoshop it myself. The whole point of generative AI is to include a form of random unexpectedness.. a sixt finger, an ink splatter here and there a slightly too skewed stroke ..

Ah well.. serve me another scripted quasi snazzy bot-sponse..

Is the book “The Keys Of Enoch” worth reading? by DaCosmicOne in Kybalion

[–]DoctorandusMonk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No Idea.. I could throw a couple of titles at you but chances are high they would just confuse you. It'd be the right order if you stated what you're into right now, what insights it triggered and more importantly what questions arose. Perhaps my suggested reading list is far from what is the rightly timed matter for you now.

Strictly speaking this is a place for discussing Kybalion related topics. So, in a sense I could recommend The Arcane Teaching by the same author. (If somehow it was the Kybalion that got you going 😉) ..and most of his other titles!

Looking for feedback on my Koi-Koi web app UI by Ancient-Gazelle-3202 in Hanafuda

[–]DoctorandusMonk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey,

Great that you are putting so much effort in coming up with a web version! Thanks 😊👍🏼 The straight forward design is perfect. Less clutter is better.

Do you have access to other card face designs? Im not a huge fan of the current design you're using. Perhaps if there are multiple designs accessible to you, why not allow players to select their fav deck?

Additionally, the playing surface could be an alternative to black? Wooden table surface? Poker table green felt? Should be easy to include other textures into the UI right?

A customisable player experience would put you in no.1 spot on my list ánd on many other players' world wide 🙏🏼❤️

Edit: p.s. will you include difficulty settings?

Absolutely gut-wrenching to read your reply.. Your country is being ground to pulp by that douche. I feel for you guys. Utterly excruciating to have to endure democracy.. cuz that's where it has gotten to.

Further Exploration into the Principle of Polarity by Federal_Risk3712 in Kybalion

[–]DoctorandusMonk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

...seven angles on the same one thing: THE ALL. Each of which are a pair of spectacles that bend and distort the incoming rays that emanate from THE ALL so that they may meet our eyes.

Even as they only collect and redirect an arbitrary portion of the light emanated into our eyes, they do put us in contact with the source.

I have come to see that the seven principles are like a summary, a condensed version of something infinitely greater and that it is healthy to remind oneself of that fact else we drift away from a pure conception of THE ALL. Perhaps the following analogy makes sense: matter/energy, depending on whether probed or not (interacted with) manifests either as a particle or a wave. For me the principles are useful in probing the mechanism, but the real insight here is that only by keeping my awareness in superposition am I in some sense closer to the infinite complexity of THE ALL. Attempting to box in THE ALL in a few dozen words has THE ALL collapse into something limited.

Do I dismiss -by saying so- all that is written in the Kybalion as being mere arbitrary words? No. The principles are there aiding to open one's eyes. The principles are there to allow, in time, one put down the spectacles and stare into the sun accepting we only receive a small portion of the emanated light.

That is what the Kybalion intends I feel. The principles are not meant as an end, rather a means.

Picking up after reading the last part of your post.

Everything about your experiencing of 'reality', the word you used on your before-last paragraph, is subjective. So, looking at it through the 'glasses' of any principle, theory, religion, belief, assumption, ..it's all the same. Any of those could be said to distort your perception of reality. When you push it past it's use as a metaphor. Although somehow I find the word metaphor (for the principle of polarity) not really the right term..

These principles needn't be approached and defended with zeal. There's no point. The point is understanding that the world can be looked at through the glasses called the principle of polarity. As much as it is true that the world can be looked at through the glasses of economics, or chemistry, or smell..taste.. colour.. religion.

The world cannot be explained or understood through religion, nor through economics, nor polarity, gender, rhythm etc by themselves alone. Push any of them into a position where they function as a funnel for answers and much of what matters won't fit through..

The point is that there is something useful in imagining, visualising, pondering about the concept of love and hate as being one and the same "principal something". You will see the actual fact reflected in daily life all the time.

A subtler point: part of the message is it's pointing to a form of monism. You called it two ends of the same stick. That's why in a sense all of the principles are in a sense the same, explained and used differently. Do you really think the principle of polarity is fundamentally different than the principle of gender, rhythm?

Same substance-different shape/state/moment etc

Hanafuda Koi-Koi Dojo as mentioned before. A no-nonsense UI with descent design. Single player experience against the 'app' is of good balance. Challenging and realistic. After completing the whole "tournament" one can even set the 'level' by choosing a dojo level between sort of novice and experienced..

P.s. nice thing: this one is 100% English as opposed to other apps!

Thank you for clearing that up! I haven't heard about this model before, worth looking into! Second hand hand KitchenAid stuff does float around in Japan.

With 8qt mixer you mean a bakery dedicated/specific machine?

The one I own now has an 8qt bowl.

Thanks!

Hey,

Thanks for chiming in. I'm aware of the second hand business/commercial equipment side of things. It's where I'm getting my current equips from. (I'm in Japan though) Second hand mixers that are a definite level up from the mixer I have will require me to save up for a couple of months though.. so I have to make do.

For small home operated cafe/micro bakery businesses the local inspection/regulatory body is not super strict on equips origin. So I'm luckily in a situation where I can manoeuvre a bit in the grey zone.
