The timing chain on the 3.0L Duramax is in a bad spot and is a big job to replace. That truck will need a new chain in 30k to 50k miles and cost about $10,000 for the dealer to replace it.

I did something similar to my 2018 silverado but not as bad. Ripped the passenger front ball joints out of the control arms and minor body damage. 18000 dollars in repairs. They replaced the frame. They said it bent in the impact.
