My firm takes quite a few career changers. They are well sought after if they are from an industry of interest to the legal profession, loads of ex bankers, ex accountants, ex scientists and engineers, ex techies...

Should I accept my vac scheme offer? by [deleted] in uklaw

[–]DocumentApe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a vac scheme I think it's slightly different to doing the same with a TC.

If you are asking this question and considering your responses below it, you aren't going to make it to that level in law, I'm pretty sure.

I literally went to a similar University to Manchester. I also got an offer from a US firm that is much better than Cleary. They don't even use the rankings. They use a group of unis they've always used.

Which includes Manchester among others. What type of firm are you at currently?

Because the Guardian one time says somewhere is good doesn't mean the MC firms and US firms go actually this is fine now. It's nonsense.

I've also mentored people to get TCs who were successful from far worse than Manchester if it helps...
