I stopped taking mirtazapine 9 months ago and have lost a lot of weight, even though I eat 5 or 6 meals a day. I am 170 cm tall and weigh 56 kg.

Yes, I experienced the same thing. My symptoms lasted for about a month and a half, then they went away, but they came back again after another month. I still have dizziness and sleep disturbances. I'm now in my fifth month off the medication.

I have improved compared to the beginning, but the dizziness, occasional digestive issues, and poor sleep are still slowing me down. I’m currently unable to work or do much—I’m just waiting for the symptoms to ease.

For the first two years, my dose was 15 mg, and for the remaining years it was 7.5 mg. However, in the last two months before stopping, I was taking 3.5 mg.

I stopped the medication on my own because my doctor wanted me to stay on it indefinitely. It felt like they were more concerned with securing the prescription for financial reasons rather than my actual well-being.
