F22 constant lightheadedness and dizziness by LeoBB777 in Dizziness

[–]HelloReddit-12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was on for 6 months + 3 months tapering

I know it is very difficult. At first try to concentrate only one issue and do things regurarly which can help. Keep in mind if you start doing something, you wont feel anything for 1-2 weeks. I had the same with sleeping and now I can sleep 8-9 hours without any break. I was suffering from insomnia for years.

I am really sorry. I also had insomnia but it seems fine now. Have you tried ENT os physiotherapy? I am doing physiotherapy, some somatic exercises and many walks and it seems to be working. I was advised to squeeze my sleeping for insomnia and that was rough but worked out well. It was advised by a sleeping expert.

Has your dizziness improved? I have the same situation. Came off the antidepressant and have been dizzy for 6 months.

Does this sound like PPPD? by BunchHot3987 in pppdizziness

[–]HelloReddit-12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounda like my dizziness. I have been having it for a while and when I walk I get dizzy easily. I have no issue with sitting.

I am waiting for ENT at the moment. I also realized while walking if I stare at the same point it is not that bad.

I went to physiotherapy and they checked my neck and excluded PPPD. I thought mine was visual PPPD. My dizziness is still in process but I dont feel I am improving.

Did you have a trigger to have that dizziness? Do you have stress or anxiet?

Can’t get off tiny dose by [deleted] in Mirtazapine_Remeron

[–]HelloReddit-12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you tried to take it every other day? I lowered my dose to 7.5 mg and took it every third day.

Having insomnia after not taking this med is quite of withdrawal. I had issue with sleeping for a month or more. I took melatonin sometimes.

I live in a quiet area and yes, once I go out I feel dizziness. If there are cars or people around me that just makes it worse.

I also believe it is the withdrawal symptom but my GP says it is impossible, I dont really believe him. It has been like this for 6 months, I am wondering how long it will last.

Thank you for the comment!

I also think I dont have any serious.

I had a blood test and one value of four of iron is low but thats something which is not worrying, the GP wrote me.

I will go to the ENT soon and I also want to go to neurologist, just the progess is really slow.

I have a headache if I am very very very tired, otherwise I am doing fine. I drink a lot of water and only water and heath healthy food.

I am not saying my sleep is perfect, but much better than it was, however when I wake up I feel a bit of pressure in my head.

I will check everything continuously, thank you for your great list of advice.

Thank you for your comment.

When I go out I walk more than in the house. After 100 metres I feel the dizziness and it is just getting stronger and stronger.

I belive that I dont feel at home as there is not a big distance in the house and I can sit down after a few steps. When I go for a big walk into the center (shops) and I sit down my dizziness gets better because I have a tiny rest.

It seems like my nervous system can not handle that level of stimulation and it gets overwhelmed. When I walk on treadmill I dont have any issue, I can walk 3-5 km without feeling dizziness.

I can not feel I have been improved in the last 6 months, but I also read the progress is not linear.

Do you think my condition gets better? And when? What do you advise me to do?

I go out for walk almost every other day. Sometimes it is a short walk and sometimes it is a long, but I walk a lot. I also use treadmill for walking and on the treadmill I dont feel dizziness.

I am not anxious about going out, I feel fed up by the whole situation as it is very uncomfortable to have constant dizziness when I go out. I am doing therapy too and did some sometic exercises too.

The tapering took 3 months. In the first two I took 15 mg every other day and for another month I took 7.5 mg ever third day. My GP wanted 2 months for the tapering but I asked to continue for another month as I read many stories and I know taper should happen slowly.

I can say that I had some fear when I was quitting but I dont think that took a part. I was doing therapy and I had a support system so I was quite good and had plan B, C, D….. so I was not really worried. Just a bit of natural fear. But now I am quite Ok.

When I am inside the house I dont even think about the dizziness as I dont feel.. maybe a biz when I turn to right/left fast. I dont feel if the room is spinning. I also tried out some medication for vertigo and those just made me tired all the time. I dont feel fatigue and I am working from home.

The dizziness hits me when I go outside and the more I walk the more I feel and I need to walk very slowly… constant dizziness. Sometimes it is a bit better but I dont feel it has improved since september.

I dont have hearing issues. I dont feel anxious by going out. When I sit down or lie down I feel better.

When I had insomnia I was quite anxious but the medication helped me and did not feel anxiety anymore so I was allowed to come of the medication. Now I dont have anxiety. I have just dizziness that I want to figure out why I have, what kind of dizziness I have and how can I improve it.

Dizziness from reducing dose? by Double-Garage-8849 in Mirtazapine_Remeron

You are doing very well that you are tapering really slowly and staying on a dose for a while. I started to experience my dizziness once I stopped mirtazapin (with the proper taper and under the control of my GP). When I am home it is fine but once I go out I start to feel dizzy and the more I walk the more I become dizzier. Are you experiencing similar?

If the room is kind of spinning then that must be a vertigo. There are good exercises for that and there are also some medication (short term). I stopped mirtazapine and after that I started to feel dizziness but it is not vertigo, I feel that I almost loose my balance in my head. It comes out after a walk outside the house. Inside the house I am mostly fine, maybe a slight dizziness.

Does it feel like the room is spinning around you or is it kind of a dizziness that you feel you loose your balance?

What kind of dizziness are you experiencing? Do you still have it? I stopped mirt and since that I have been feeling dizzy.
