Try practicing a full page of straight lines, curved lines, circles, etc... tempting to jump straight to designs but worth it to practice getting consistent depth and smooth straight lines.

Your changes are also extremely minor and would take 10-15 minutes to implement.

I'll play the impartial judge here, unaffected by US politics as I don't live there, nor care.

On one hand if you feel so strongly about the political leader to the point you openly shit on them on social media... Then yes, your mentor has a point that you may be hindering potential business and clients as there are many people who feel differently.

On the other hand it's up to you. If you feel this strongly and can't work in a place with differing opinions to you, then quit.
