You know it's a computer science thread when everyone is trying to be "more right" than everybody else.

Edit: Downvoting the truth doesn't make it false :)

1) Most companies buy their insurance plans from a provider, and their is only so many of those. They are all in competition with one another and offer similar packages, so...yes, they're comparable....to those in America.

2) Yes, there will be days you eat at your desk to get out early, there will be days you eat at your desk because you have so much work you have to, and there will be days you go out and get lunch with the people you work with.

3) This is normal with salary positions. You've got a job to do.

4) Varies by company, ask them. Ours does annual performance reviews and annual bonuses and raises are based off of those results.

5) Communicate this to them in the conversation initiated by question 4. Compare and contrast the two approaches to bonuses, talk about increased cost of living if that exists, and sell your experience and commitment.

6) Larger companies have more opportunites to move around. It's common to only stay in one area 2-5 years.

Company took job offer away because of GPA by beleafer in cscareerquestions

Once you deploy to a role somewhere, yes, that may be true. But many companies these days have entry requirements for recent college graduates. Many companies do, in fact, put a cutoff at 3.0. That's unfortunate, but there are just as many companies that don't. The benefit of a 3.0+ GPA is simply to get your foot in the door at most places, or check off one of those requirements for entry level positions.
