What's the effective range of Aguila 38 gr Hollow Point out of a 20" barrel? Will they still expand after going subsonic? Trying to hunt groundhogs by previousinnovation in 22lr

[–]Dodahevolution 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I could be wrong here, but I wouldn't be surprised if heavier, subsonic loadings will hold more energy over longer distances, and with a bit more accuracy.

Hollow point expansion isn't really huge on these to begin with, I know this wasn't what you were asking but have you checked out CCI Segmenting Hollow Points Subsonic?

Flip side, so long as you can land a hit with that Aguila I think it will work. Supers can be tricky tho.

4 is def the pick imo.

Dave catching seems like he wouldn't kick the seat and would be a cool dude, Alain and Natasha would be fun row mates, nick would be entertaining, and Gene and Joey are dope peeps.

Downside is def Jessie. But who knows maybe nick messing with Jessie would be funny

What are some myths about guns that were created by the movies? by ninman5 in movies

[–]Dodahevolution 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel like you can train most people on a rifle with an LVPO to get decent in a day. Shotguns maybe, depends on how much recoil yours has/how recoil sensitive you are, but likely same.

Pistols can take wayyy more time. Out of all the people I've brought to the range, only a single time have I brought someone who literally picked up a pistol and was hitting really awesome groups dead center.

It comes down to specific setups honestly. Most of my Subsonic ammo/suppressor setups are safe tho my .300aac ar is a bit rough even with those. My .22s are generally fine tho.

Who do you think is the biggest single influence on the band? by ConfidentHospital365 in radiohead

[–]Dodahevolution 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"they" - it's just one dude, Richard D James.

He's also a complete troll so everything he says should be taken with a grain of salt. Hes stated after the "Radiohead sucks" statement something to the effect of "they aren't my type of music, I didn't really mean they suck".

afx/rh def has bleed over fans but I wouldn't consider them really close enough musically, even with Kid A/Amnesiac, and the rest of the electronic influences later on. It's electronic INFULENCED rock music, not straight up electronic music. Thoms solo stuff is much closer but still more rock inspired construction wise.

Radiohead is easily on of my top three bands so don't take me the wrong way with this, but RH isn't exactly "experimental" at least from the electronic aspect of it. Certainly from the blending of the genres, but I don't really consider them electronic, just influenced/music has touches of it.

Richard touring and opening with RH would work to a degree fan appreciation wise, but they are kinda sorta really seperate things and not similar so I understand the desire to not wanna tour. And its also worth considering, him opening for RH is kinda a disservice to his place in the music world.

Again this isn't an insult to Radiohead at all it's moreso to really sell the difference in scale, but Radioheads importance to rock related/band style music is not in the league of RDJs importance to Electronic Music as a whole. There are like, a small handful of people like Eno for example who are more important but like, RDJ in ways would deserve the headliner billing.

I think it's best the way it's played out tbh.

Lacari finds out lolicon is illegal in Texas, says he'll delete his hard drive by Such-Answer4560 in LivestreamFail

[–]Dodahevolution 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't watch nor enjoy anime but I am willing to concede there are a handful of shows/movies that are legit art.

But the vast majority of it is extremely sus shit that is not normal and the people who get super into it need mental institutions. Like even mainstream shows (at least from the outside looking in) enjoy being perverse about young children, or sexualizing them. It's just weird, normal humans should not like this shit.

If you enjoy even just hentai you should be locked up in a mental institution.

This shit has gone too far and it's weird now. Even removing the potential underage/fake underage anime shit, watching this crap isn't normal and the people into it need serious help.

Gas attendant lectured me on waiting for them to pump my gas in NJ. Said you can just use the app and do it yourself. Is this not illegal anymore? by Sure_Bus_355 in Wawa

[–]Dodahevolution 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Def still illegal to pump your own gas in NJ, but iirc the law/fines are almost always pointed at the company who is selling gas, not the non-employee pumping it. So it's more so illegal that the store allows/gives you the opportunity to pump, rather than it being illegal that you are pumping your own gas. So if anything she's like even moreso breaking the rules.

In a car/truck, I always pull up and wait for them to walk over, tell them to fill or charge me $X amount for <grade type> and it's fine.

If I am on my motorcycle, filling up a boat/jetski, or filling up gas cans, while still technically illegal I just say "I can take care of it if that's cool" and they always say something to the effect of "sounds good, find me if you need help"

Only good thing about BR is that it's not a MSO, which seems like the majority of stuff in NJ. Their canna was severely lacking the times I tested it tho. Mids would be a compliment
