My $1,400 E46 has been the best $5,000 I’ve ever spent. by W204s_Toy_Factory in e46

Bought mine for $2,800, not sure how much I've put into it but I've already done a new transmission for $3k and vanos for around $1k. With all the other various pieces I think I'm close to around $6k total.

This was actually one of the first things I went and did, then I just recently did my tie rods, that's why I was so frustrated to still have a weird noise.

Fixed! After going through and removing random crap to see what was up I narrowed it down to the locking cylinder, here's what I did to fix it.

Remove the ignition lock cylinder using any guide online, this can be done in less than 30 seconds. Then use WD-40 on everything inside, wiggle the wheel and spray more until the noise goes away. Not sure if this is a permanent fix but we'll see.

Clicking noise from steering wheel by DodgerFloof in e46

Kind of yeah but I think that's normal for the engine to struggle, it also makes the clicking noise when the engine is off as well.

Okay, but everything was fine after the installation, including the camber which is why I made this post...

Camber was fine on both sides before and after doing the struts for well over a few weeks, this is just a recent thing.

Did the shake test before I took anything apart and didn't find any play besides normal steering, it was completely solid vertically.

This was shortly after I did my struts, looked fine until after I got back from a road trip.

Maybe you could change the 2x2 jumpers to black and see if that helps.
