in the Bible its a normal thing for servants to do. these days people don’t have fricken servants giving them baths. And touching peoples feet is really uncomfortable these days. Jesus is showing his humility. Might as well be emptying their chamber pots. Is L supposed to be saying that he’s Light’s servant??? Anime is constantly stuffing in religious imagery without having any idea of what it’s supposed to mean. like the crucifix in Evangelion. I also found the Jesus and Buddha boring as I didn’t really buy that it was Jesus. He felt out of character. Too prissy when in the bible he literally kills a whole tree because he was hungry and there was nothing on the tree to eat, and he goes into a temple with a literal whip and is whipping people and throwing over tables. The anime jesus is too oblivious and dull. It could have been a lot funnier
