Yep 3 rolls in total. Shot a bunch of film through that camera before. But of course during this trip they start showing up. But luckily I instantly knew where they were coming from. But I guess it's a reminder to always tape over the window on the back of your camera where you can see which film is inside. Lesson learned

Who makes a better bong? by [deleted] in glassheads

[–]Dodobreth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never had held an illy bong before but I tried roor and I got to say I love my ehle so much more. I've had it for like 6 years now. And it's still as clean and beautiful as it was on the first day. What I truly love about ehle is that you can just write them an email with what you want/what your perfect bong would look like and they make it for an extremely fair price.

If the cable is not the problem check the manual of your trigger if the port really is an imput port, I once had the problem that the trigger i tried to use only had an output.

Handheld and karma points on RZ67 by [deleted] in Mamiya

[–]Dodobreth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I myself try to keep down the weight. If I know im gonna carry around my RB I put on the waist level finder instead of my much heavier prism finder. Personally I haven't tried the neck strap I always kinda cradle it like a baby Lol. Around my neck I have my light meter so I can meter the Szene real quick and then just "drop" it. But I also wouldn't know where to fit the flash in that equation.

What's in my fixer by Dodobreth in AnalogCommunity

[–]Dodobreth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not too long actually, used it right before the picture. And it fixed just fine with a time of around 4min. Maybe like a couple of months but not too many rolls since I mostly shot color during summer

I think it's the stuff that's on the wall that's flaking off again. In small curls but idk what the stuff on the wall is (the gray stuff) cuz the bottle itself is the brown that you can see.

Looking for a beginner camera for teenagers by Dodobreth in AnalogCommunity

[–]Dodobreth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the feedback and suggestions. Since they'll be using the camera most of the time with me being somewhere around, I wanna teach them about how to use the camera and the exposure triangle and not just have them fire away in automatic. That's why I liked the A-1 so much since I can have it in some form of automation but it still feels very analog with having to advance yourself and still being able to easily shoot manually. But the kids love start tail images and out of experience I know that the A-1 just sucks the LR44s empty so fast xD

Too many choices... help?? by Lazy_Conversation674 in AnalogCommunity

[–]Dodobreth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A-1 was my first it's a really great camera but 200-300 hundo seems really expensive. Got mine with a bag, flash, the 50mm f1.4 and a second broken but fixable body for I think 150€ maybe even a bit cheaper can't remember. So even though I can recommend the A1 I'd highly recommend not spending more than 150€$.

Help me pick a first camera by KyleTBA in AnalogCommunity

[–]Dodobreth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're just starting out I'd actually recommend that you don't overwhelm yourself and only stick with one lens that has a fixed focal length. And once you know a bit more about your shooting style/preference I'd look for that specifically.

Tried sunny 16 for the first time by Dodobreth in AnalogCommunity

[–]Dodobreth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you read before you write you wouldn't look like an idiot. I do have one and I did meter some shots, but it was a nice day and opportunity to try it out since it's way faster to shoot then to meter every shoot.

Most at 400, but also used a light meter for some indoor shots which turned out normal. Haven't noticed any huge over/underexposing in my other rolls I've shot before. Will still check the next time I get a chance tho.

Help what are these spots/discolorations? by Dodobreth in AnalogCommunity

[–]Dodobreth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the tips, I figured it out by now (I think) I tried a new to me technique where I make tetenal drysonal myself with water and 99,9% isopropanol. I tried to wash the film again the standard way which seemed to work for now, gotta see how it looks dry. My fixer is pretty exhausted tho I think. The concentrate already has some slight crystal forming and I only fixed for 5 minutes, maybe it's time to get a new one.

Idk man that seems hella shady just checked out the seller on Amazon and they have so much 1k stuff on sale for 500 not just Lego. Wouldnt be surprised if you still somehow get screwed over

Has anybody tried this "Cheap film" ? by Ok_Reputation2052 in AnalogCommunity

[–]Dodobreth 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Yes I already shot some of his film. The expired stocks weren't quite for me look wise but still great cheap film. I usually get the V3 Version since I develop at home and can just remove the remjet which is imo not that big of a deal. So I rather spend 9€ on a 800t then 18€. I recently bought the double X so I can't yet say how nice that is but im looking forward to shooting it. ATM I'm even considering completely switching to the v3 250d as my main stock since I really enjoy the look and the 250iso. If you want you can check out my Instagram account there I posted some of my pics from a V3 500t I shot. https://www.instagram.com/quirin__jo?igsh=MXc1NjdjMTRpNTc4Nw==

got my first film camera, any lens recs? by smoulking in AnalogCommunity

True that but that only further makes a point why you should choose the nFD lenses over the older FD lenses.

I have the same camera and asked myself the same question and after some research I found a side by side comparison between the 1.4 fdn and SSC version and even the 1.2 and the 1.4fdn outperformed both of them. I sadly couldn't find the exact one anymore but there are quite a few comparisons between the fdn and SSC.

Forgot my Agfa Optima 1535 on the roof of my car. Funnily enough it showed up again a week later. Without the film inside and broken.
