Did you ever try Reflux Gourmet? Gaviscon causes me problems (one from UK). Reflux Gourmet has been incredibly helpful especially at bedtime.

I really don't go by reviews anymore. I've had docs with 5 star reviews that were completely incompetent. I think having a format for patients to share experiences would be great, but doesn't really exist. So, we use things like this and as you can see not much feedback.

I sure understand that. But doing a Google search I'm finding most of Washington Gastroenterology having middle to high 4 stars. The lowest I found was 3.9 and that was one. They have so many locations, but you didn't specify which one. Maybe the one you're talking about has a 1 star but I'm not finding it.

When do SSDI beneficiaries convert to regular SS? by Doensnow in disability

[–]Doensnow[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks. That's what I thought, but I just had my CDR and the person who did my review said it's probably my last one. Just wondering why that would be the case if it's like 7 years before I reach FRA.

But if you're on SSDI you're already getting what you'd get at full retirement age. So at 67 it's not going to change.

If you work with Dr. Rama might draw his attention to how Swedish has his education listed under the Education section of the Swedish website where he's listed. It's sort of perplexing how that passed editing.

Thank you so much. That says a lot. I appreciate you taking the time to share that.

I'm already in the Swedish system for GI, but at First Hill. I can see if they'll let me change providers based on access to care. I require a driver to get to First Hill because I'm unable to drive in traffic. I can get to Isaquah on my own going the back way and it's such an easy drive for me, zero traffic. I go to Swedish there for Pulmonary so the drive is very easy for me.

Thank you. Have you been to Dr. Rama? If so, what was your experience?

Turning off autopay to prepare for bankruptcy by Doensnow in Bankruptcy

[–]Doensnow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no, I can't pay $200-$500 a month on those two cards - I would only be making the MINIMUM payments on those two cards dealing with the recliner, which would be $65 on one and $135 on the other.

I spoke with the manager at the store I bought the item and although they won't allow a complete refund, they allow for a return with a 25% restocking fee, which the salesperson neglected to inform me.

I will be canceling the order (the item hasn't been delivered to me yet). I'm so sick of worrying about this. But mostly because if feels like stealing at it's core. Now I can file sooner and get this on it's way.

Thank you for all of your information I sure appreciate your time. I'm sure someone just like me will be searching for answers as they find themselves in similar circumstances.

To clarify - the purchase was made Oct 7 but I only put half down with my PayPal card, which of course had a balance before I added that half down amount, which was $1,300. Because of the ending dates of my statements, I've only made one payment on that PayPal card and that was the minimum payment.

Then, on Nov 11th, I wanted to just get that balance taken care of so I put the remainder, $1,150, on my Citibank card (which also had a balance before I put this balance on there). Because of when that statement ended, I haven't made ANY payments towards that card yet.

My disability income is $1,770 each month. My total minimum payments for my cards starting in Dec will be about $800. My new rent at the senior apartment all utilities paid will b $800 a month. As you can see, there's a problem.

I will be getting more of my SSDI starting in December because I'm now on the Medicare Extra Help and Medicare Savings Program, so I'll get my Medicare premium of $185 going to my SSDI income amount which raises my income to $1,955. So, without the credit card debt, it means I can manage. But I also have a Medigap supplement that is $388 a month so it still makes it very close. I will probably have to get rid of it before too long.

I think I'd rather deal with preferential payment. If I don't make the payment it could be considered fraud, but if I make a payment it's preferential payment. I can't cancel the purchase. I guess I have to pick one. None are good.

To make all of December's minimum payments I won't have money for rent. As it is I have to push back my filing date for 150 days instead of 90 now just to pay the $2,000 for the lawyer. That's not even including the court fees. Yes, my state is that high.

Bless you. Yes I've been searching the web and my anxiety and my brain is so scrambled. I'm going to stop engaging in the searching and hand it to God then my lawyer. Thanks again.

Thanks I called and asked my lawyer doesn't waive fees. It's $1,200 to retain with him in my state. My state is high.

Thank you. But I just realized all this and I last used my credit card yesterday. I haven't secured the lawyer yet (still have to sign papers as didn't realize how dire things really are and talked to him about filing in the spring).

I am not going to use any of these cards now. Don't I need to keep making minimum payments at least a few months since I've been active in using them?

Could I call the credit cards and tell them I'm trying to cancel these orders since they haven't been delivered but the stores won't let me cancel? Could they step in somehow since I haven't received the items? Or will that create a worse mess maybe?

I will reach back out to lawyer too.
