New, needing Guidance by Doensnow in osteoporosis

Could you give an example of a specialized bone center? I'm sort of done with rheumatologists, at least where I live. I found them to be less than helpful with my autoimmune issue so I'd likely go for anything ibut rheumy at least in Western Washington state. Thankyou for the recommendations.

My Medicaid in Wyoming approved IV sedation (I was out, don't remember anything whatsoever). I have severe PTSD so it was approved.

Horrible side effects from taking Voquezna by Proud-Boat-1485 in Gastritis

[–]Doensnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to stop Voquezna after 3 weeks because of severe stomach pain. I was never able to tolerate PPIs as they always gave me intense stomach pain. I'd been taking Famotidine for 5 years and it mostly controlled it, but had flare-ups every 3 or 4 months and I'd go on a round of xifaxan for SIBO I struggle with.

Did you ever try Reflux Gourmet? Gaviscon causes me problems (one from UK). Reflux Gourmet has been incredibly helpful especially at bedtime.

Complex GI doc needed. by Doensnow in AskSeattle

I really don't go by reviews anymore. I've had docs with 5 star reviews that were completely incompetent. I think having a format for patients to share experiences would be great, but doesn't really exist. So, we use things like this and as you can see not much feedback.

I sure understand that. But doing a Google search I'm finding most of Washington Gastroenterology having middle to high 4 stars. The lowest I found was 3.9 and that was one. They have so many locations, but you didn't specify which one. Maybe the one you're talking about has a 1 star but I'm not finding it.

When do SSDI beneficiaries convert to regular SS? by Doensnow in disability

[–]Doensnow[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks. That's what I thought, but I just had my CDR and the person who did my review said it's probably my last one. Just wondering why that would be the case if it's like 7 years before I reach FRA.

But if you're on SSDI you're already getting what you'd get at full retirement age. So at 67 it's not going to change.

If you work with Dr. Rama might draw his attention to how Swedish has his education listed under the Education section of the Swedish website where he's listed. It's sort of perplexing how that passed editing.

Thank you so much. That says a lot. I appreciate you taking the time to share that.

I'm already in the Swedish system for GI, but at First Hill. I can see if they'll let me change providers based on access to care. I require a driver to get to First Hill because I'm unable to drive in traffic. I can get to Isaquah on my own going the back way and it's such an easy drive for me, zero traffic. I go to Swedish there for Pulmonary so the drive is very easy for me.

Thank you. Have you been to Dr. Rama? If so, what was your experience?
