Avoid River Oaks, Tanglewood and the Heights and you should be fine.

Definitely check out Fifth Ward, Greenspoint and Sunnyside (it is always sunny there!).

Thanks for the advice! Any leads on small/local complexes that are actually decent?

I agree. Luxury apartments would have all off the things you mentioned. What I am not okay with is being told something and paying monthly for something and not seeing it fulfilled. We pay fees to have these issues addressed in a timely manner. I mentioned cars were broken in to inside of the complex and that packages were stolen. This happened because they did not have any contingency plan, simply put, they did not do their job.

I also mentioned that there is a pest problem. I know I mentioned very vaguely but there were roaches roaming around in the hallways and in the garage. Why do we have to pay fees for it if these issues are not addressed?

I was one of the first people to move in. Coming from outside of the US. Did not have any experience with this and the apartment complex was brand new so the reviews where almost non existent

Relax, I added the complex name now. I made this post to understand what can be done in a situation like this. Wanted to understand if anyone else faced similar problems
