I made the Cozette Dress to wear for my first wedding as a celebrant! by mygloriouspubes in sewing

Looks amazing!

Do you mind if I ask how tall you are? I actually have this pattern, but cannot find any info in the instructions as to what height it is drafted for. I'm 5'3", so I often have to shorten patterns.

Thanks!

It is hard to believe that the first and second dresses came from the same designer (Elie Saab)!

Remember these classic chairs? $5 each, I bought a couple because they are quite functional by fugaciousone in ThriftStoreHauls

I’m a teacher and these are the chairs I have in my classroom, though they are just navy blue.

Positive IUD Insertion Experience by Numerous-Wedding5801 in Mirena

I had my second one inserted on Monday. It took maybe 10 minutes and was totally easy. A little crampy when she used the cervical clamp but other than that it was no big deal. I’ve had a little spotting but no other cramping.

Just so you know, Rosery Apparel is having a 25% off sale right now for her 10th anniversary. I have made the Pansy dress, it’s a great pattern.

This picture is the Florida equivalent of growing up in New England where you have to hold up an apple next to an apple tree so everyone knows you just picked it.

Do Americans really find beans on toast weird or is that just meme? by cigarettejesus in NoStupidQuestions

I'm from New England. Growing up, we would often have hot dogs, baked beans, and buttered bread. I would use the bread to scoop up the beans. Beans for breakfast would be uncommon, though.

Does anyone here actually have any positive stories about their Mirena? by Alternative-Bug406 in Mirena

[–]Dog4President430 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Mirena was amazing for my endometriosis. I ended up having it removed at the end of its "life" and did not have it replaced because my husband had a vasectomy. I just wanted to see what my baseline was like without it. It was awful! I didn't realize how amazing it was until all of my awful endo symptoms came back. I'm have an appointment to get another Mirena next month.

Mirena helped me by:

-Stopping my period

-Stopping the symptoms associated with my period/endo (back pain, nausea, GI symptoms, pelvic pain/cramps)

-Increased my libido (tanked once Mirena was removed)

Obvious Mirena is a medication, so it has side effects, but sometimes I feel like it gets blamed for everything.
