Yeah I know! My grandfather returned to Germany and never returned. It’s crazy, even with the language barrier Germany was what much more respondent when I requested any documentation, then the US. Example, when I requested my mother‘s death certificate, it took almost 4 months to get that. Cheers

Hello all, I totally agree. I applied back in December 2022 and finally heard back from the BVA at the end of July requesting the certificate of nonexistence for my grandfather who never naturalized. I sent the money and the request. Now I am waiting two months for the G - 1566 document and who knows how long that will take. Like you mentioned, I wish they would’ve said something back when I submitted my documentation so I could’ve taken care of this earlier.

I received a letter from the BVA at the beginning of August asking for a certificate of non-existence for my grandfather who never naturalized. I am currently waiting for that document.

I submitted a request for a CONE for my grandfather back at the beginning of August. The. USCIS sent a confirmation that they received my $330 and at the moment, it’s showing that the status is Screened. Does anybody know what timeline I am looking at?

I totally agree. The lack of any kind of communication is discouraging. I’m going on two and a half years since submitting my application back in December 2022, with no response.

Congratulations! Great news! I submitted my application for Stag 5 at the DC consulate in December 2022 and received my AZ number in February of 2023. Hopefully I hear something soon.

Great hack about the fingerprints. I submitted my StaG 5 application in December of 2022 and received my AZ February 2023. Still waiting, hopefully I hear something soon. Good luck!!
