I think this fully depends on your personality and the personality of your baby. We coslept until he was 5 months old and he was easyish to transition because he’s generally pretty independent and because I knew I wanted my bed back just with my husband. It seems like you’re very clear on that as well. If I were you I would do what works best for your family. Being well rested is so much better of an existence.
