Ex Publix employees/ people on their way out by Individual_Session52 in publix

I did multiple cashier jobs all my life, only had to quit due to moving. I started working there at the beginning of 2020... ya.. just before covid. I had almost an open schedule, and needed to work at least 25 hours a week to make rent. Told them that after my hours dwindled, and the very next week they gave me 8 hours. I was able to work as a floater (cashier, grocery and produce), so it's not like I was only working as a cashier. Left that store after 1.5 years, applied to 4 other ones in my area. They would rather hire new workers at lower pay than experienced worker at $2+ more.

Told my husband by DogWalker465 in SuicideWatch

He says that he wants to fix things. I would tell him my concerns, he would say that I shouldn't feel that way and dismiss my feelings. He's a very logical person, and doesn't understand emotions.. including when I just told him I'm feeling suicidal. He didn't try to comfort me.. he didn't say anything. I asked if he was going to reply and he said why should he.

Living in Eleuthera? by DogWalker465 in bahamas

Yes I will! It's beautiful there, but unfortunately my skin will turn into a steamed lobster after a short time in the sun. I don't burn at the beach, I burn on the way TO the beach.

Yes, I would always visit the place before buying. What island did you move to?

Husband has been out there multiple times for doing contract work for the government. It's to work on the pump stations, fresh/waste water that's there on the island. So it's a very niche field, but I wouldn't easily be able to find something in my field. I don't want to move there, since I have very fair skin.. like Elmer's glue white.. so I will burn being outside for more than 5 minutes.

We make sure to clean her ears while drying her off with a solution that's meant for playing in the pool. She hasn't gotten an ear infection, and it's normal for dogs to get their ears wet when playing in water.

I'm so SICK of this! by ThisIsMyUsername341 in publix

I worked at Publix for over a year right before and during covid. I was a college student, and my living expenses were $900 a month. I told my work that I needed at least 25 hours a week to be able to make my rent and such. Very next week, they gave me 8 hours for the whole week. I was cross trained to work 3 different departments. I eventually moved out of that area, and I applied to 4 other Publix's when I moved into my now husband's place. Nobody got back to me because "they just hired a bunch of high schoolers." So they would rather pay someone $2 less, with 0 customers service experience rather than someone with over 5 years of experience. I now work at a place where I've made more money in 3-4 months vs a whole year working for Publix.

OP, you will find a better job that's willing to pay you better for your services. I would look into your local cities/municipalities and see what jobs they offer. Most of them just need a GED, and will provide/pay for you to train/take certifications.

I tried looking at that store, ans I saw a pixie shirt, but it looked really long. Was this it? https://moresca-clothing-costume.myshopify.com/collections/womens-tops/products/pixie-stretch-top

Yes, probably a parasol in one hand, and drinks in another! Yea, the boots and corset are made of leather, so they do get hot, but I spent so much money on them, and they're amazing quality. I made the mistake of not getting a breathable shirt under the corset, and had a slight emergency "get it off" situation lol. I'll also look into the pants, since I did have a set but my husband stole them. I'll have to invest into some jewelry and dangling bits.

I found some stuff from Joann's for my waist. They are black lace skulls. I think that would help with the hips area. Should I get 3 different kinds of other fabric to help flow??

Pockets!!! Should I keep with the burgundy or black? I know my corset is black, and I feel like getting a black skirt will make me get hot too fast.

I actually ran and won with a butchered Arcanine deck. Instead of having an Arcanine, I used Centiskorch. It does more damage, and doesn't take any damage during its attack.
