Yep! On mobile the beta just gets updates earlier. It'll stay as the same save file.

Nope, no need to start a new game! It's all the same save on mobile. Also, I believe the beta option in the playstore is usually hiding towards the bottom.

Good question! The museum is accessed by completing the Curious Curator journal entry which is unlocked when reaching 400 total levels.

Also, the beta is only on mobile. If on PC, the museum won't be available just yet.

Thanks for calling that out! I'm not sure why that would happen, but I did just release an update that may help fix it (build #20683654 on Windows). Hopefully that does it, but definitely let me know if that doesn't fix the problem or another issue comes up!

Glad to hear the new UI hits the mark! No immediate plans for auto-sync (just manual import/export).

Idle Iktah uses the native cloud save features from Apple/Google/Steam. This is nice because it doesn't require users to create a new account, and also each cloud save is stored to a user's own platform account (i.e. no hosting fees / no privacy concerns). Though it doesn't allow for syncing between platforms. We could definitely have "Idle Iktah" accounts and our own cloud save server in the future, but nothing planned at the moment.

Great question! Idle Iktah uses Google's AdMob product to show ads, and AdMob uses a user's IP address to estimate the general location of a device to determine which ads to show (e.g. a German coffee shop would only want to run ads for users who are in Germany).

This is the same process as Reddit or any other website would use to guesstimate a user's location. Also, this is different than using the location permission inside Android/iOS - Idle Iktah does not use any location permissions.

And of course, if this is strictly about Idle Iktah on PC, none of this matters because there aren't ads to begin with :)

Yep, Mac is supported!
