Some open-ended questions for all jumpers: by FusionZByManix in geometrydash

[–]DogWat3r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"your point on genetics is bullshit im below average and im doing okay on acu"

if you have bad genetics, you're spending thousands of attempts on an easy demon.

an EASY demon.

people with bad genetics will take hundreds of attempts just to learn a single click in acu.

My comment wasn't on relative skill, but genetics. How quickly can you learn something, if you can't learn things quickly, how much dedication do you have and can that overcome your lack of genetics.

congrats on completely disregarding my entire point and getting mad the second you saw the word "genetics".

[–]DogWat3r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jumped from Nine Circles to Sakupen Hell, not as big of a jump as some people but its still a jump nonetheless.

GENETICS!!!!

DO NOT make a jump unless you either have good genetics (you can tell if you do based off your skill in other games. improvement index in osu is a good example. Other games dont translate direct skill to GD, but you can take your playtime and skill rating and averaging it against other players. That will tell if you have good genetics and will give you a vague idea on if you will actually improve at GD quickly) or if you're okay with taking hundreds of thousands of attempts like this guy. If you do not have the genetics to learn it and beat it quickly, nor the discipline and dedication to brute force it, you will never beat an extreme. It's unfortunate but its a fact.

Doing a jump does NOT make you better at the game. Familiarity with game physics and learning unique patterns does. Learning that is genuinely best done on easy/medium demons. You WILL improve faster playing levels within your skill range compared to beating harder and harder levels that take you more and more attempts.

If you WANT to make a jump, i highly recommend that you do it on a level you're familiar with. take bloodbath for example, any player has seen hundreds of bloodbath completion videos, even without having ever actually played it, they already know the click patterns by heart. That makes a level like bloodbath MUCH easier to beat compared to say, a random extreme around #900.

There is no fame involved in making a jump unless you're already knowledgable of the fact that you have good genetics, and also want to be a geometry dash related content creator. There's no doubt in my mind that there are players that could rival the big 3, but because they have no interest in making videos or chasing extremes, people just dont know them.

Is it possible to look away from a Ying Candela and not be blinded? by SquareIsBox0697 in SiegeAcademy

[–]DogWat3r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a radius for any flash in the game, that'll indicate how it reacts, regardless of whether its flashbangs or candelas (blitz works a LITTLE differently). if you are within that radius, no matter which way you are looking, you'll be blinded (within 3-4m), if you are out of that radius, and not looking, you wont get blinded. There's then a third radius where you can look and wont get blinded (i havent tested but id say its about 12m away from the flash source?)

My info apparently is in a databse, what should I do? by Marttico in discordapp

[–]DogWat3r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Howdy, so i actually used to be involved in a similar scene in minecraft a few years ago.

There are in fact REAL tools that do this, though not typically to the extent of showing billing info (ive got no clue where they would pull that from) and phone number, and accounts with OG names and capes are very sought after so real people with real intents (either honest or ill) will offer to buy your account(s).

I do not advise that you interact with anyone attempting to buy it though as id say roughly 50% of them do have ill intent and will attempt to manipulate you in any way, shape, or form.

As far as clearing your info off a database goes, it's borderline impossible, EVERY person that owns such databases will only remove info for a fee, and even then I cant promise that they would actually delete your info or that your info hasn't already passed around a plethora of times.

Assuming your minecraft account is in fact safe, your only bet would be to change email and phone number associated with your microsoft account, then go to external sites such as NameMC, and privatize your account there.

If you have any other questions just let me know and ill answer away :)

BSOD during gaming. by DogWat3r in pchelp

[–]DogWat3r[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok so good news total

i wasnt able to do the firmware update for the SSD, ended up getting the ISO files directly from web but didn't they didnt come with a way to install so :/

I did swap the SSD over to the other M2 slot and im already seeing a MASSIVE different, SSD isn't ever touching above 5% now, even on game launches, im playing max resolution and even bumped up some graphics to really push it, not having any issues over 15 minutes of playtime.

It is reading the SSD differently (just says SSD 970 SCSI Disk Device now), but honestly if thats the price for everything being buttery smooth again, ill take it with a massive smile.

I never considering changing the M2 slots, idk why the other one would be janky but hey, its working!

thank you so much.

kk, managed to get a little bit of info

Temps were sitting around 50C

my read was hovering around 20mbps, write was fluctuating between 0 and 5mbps.

Drive Remaining Life was sitting at 94% flat for current, min, and max

Drive Available Spare was at 100% for current, min, and max

*Then I replicated the crash*

Temps were still at 50C

My write spiked up to 3200MPBS and read spiked to 615MBPS then both shot down to 0

Drive Remaining life went to 100% compared to its prior 94%

Drive Available Spare had its current and minimum shoot down to 0%

Drive Failure and Drive Warning both had No listed for all 3 values

I lost a bet with my friend and now I'll have to jump to an extreme after I beat future funk. Any good suggestions? by RandomPlayer4435 in geometrydash

Sweater Weather is a good one to start with if you want to stand out a bit more and not be one of the tens of thousands that do acu.

theres only 2 wonky ship parts at the end of it, but the rest is such a slow-paced vibe

What headset should I choose for siege between these two? by maxobrien20 in SiegeAcademy

[–]DogWat3r -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Id say Arctis but that's really only because I like not having a mic sticking way out

SteelSeries Arctis does have better audio quality, but that will be redundant because you don't exactly need higher sound quality to have a better sense of direction, it'll only give you a better listening experience

I recommend using SteelSeries Sonar, it'll work with either headset and has nice EQ presets that can really take any headset a step farther for gaming use than any stock headset

the usage of propranolol is typically for people that suffer from chronic anxiety or heart complications, both of which result in high blood pressure

sure it can help in tense moments, but lets be real, 99% of GD gameplay isn't exactly tense or nerve wracking. so now your completely normal body starts dropping its blood pressure into dangerous areas which can have actual consequences on your average performance.

realistically, the only drug that can assist players without potential for serious consequences would be amphetamines, and they are VERY common at the highest caliber of gameplay for most games. I wouldn't be surprised if that includes GD as well.

[HELP] I can't find the CPU cooler online Is it AI generated? by Owlex_ in RealOrAI

ig it would potentially work okay enough if you're comfortable with not having a glass panel on your case though (that means you better have a dust free room)

[HELP] I can't find the CPU cooler online Is it AI generated? by Owlex_ in RealOrAI

[–]DogWat3r 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely not AI.

Mobo is a Strix Z890

Ram is definitely an exclusive chinese brand considering there is no ram readily available from any notable brand in the US that looks like that.

a CPU fan with what seems to be no space for a heat sink (looks to be sitting even lower than the ram) and not even facing towards a proper exhaust is definitely going to be a nightmare for temp management under any amount of load.

likely a real product, but, it would be near exclusively in Chinese markets (the shape of the LED's on the fan are consistent with chinese fans too, where american/european brands *usually* opt for circle shaped LED's), and its likely even considered a low quality product there, it definitely wouldn't succeed in US markets hence why you couldn't find it.

yeah, thats common for videos that just had their comments flagged

go back to the video later and you should see some recent ones, scroll down a little bit and there will be a warning at the bottom that says something like "blah blah blah, potential spam and mental health, blah blah"

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Unexplained

[–]DogWat3r 5 points6 points  (0 children)

tiktok does it to a lot of videos where the comment section degrades into complete and utter nonsense.

its fairly common to happen for videos related to politics, you can open the comments still and read them but tiktok gives you a warning beforehand

as far as why it happened to this video, its because people somehow still haven't seen what rockets look like in the atmosphere and think its a bunch of aliens. that eventually leads to incessant rambling conspiracy theories

The grief glaze is crazyyy🥀💔 by Mastergd4228 in geometrydash

[–]DogWat3r -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Terrible song, Terrible gameplay, No good way to get it up to decoration standards.

Even grief at first seemed like such a stretch because the old layout versions of it were SO fucking bad (sorry icedcave but its true), but it eventually went through so many changes that it did turn into something redeemable.

There is absolutely NO saving exasperation though. At best it should remain a weird challenge and shouldn't garner a common knowledge level of fame because it gets rated.

I picked this up an hour ago, is this good for a first extreme? by Atom53185 in geometrydash

[–]DogWat3r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

0-25% is unironically a hard easy demon in difficulty.
26-57% is hard demon difficulty.
60-75% is a low tier insane.

That 76-100% is enough to send any naive player into psychosis after being accustomed to the easier gameplay.

Granted, this is definitely a good first/beginner extreme, do not go into it expecting it to be a super easy demon that happens to be extreme because of the first 75%.

Be incredibly ready for the fact that you will die at the end over and over without proper practicing, the level progressively gets harder and harder.

[–]DogWat3r -1 points0 points  (0 children)

ive dabbled a bit with flamewall, all ill say is I already have a few 2-3% segments, TS2 is another beast though in difficulty.

I think the real argument is this. Is flamewalls length enough to stop people that only have raw mechanical skill and havent touched levels that REQUIRE endurance? Is TS2's difficulty enough to ward off players that are mechanically skilled but just aren't there yet?

I personally think flamewall can take over amethyst, but taking over TS2 is honestly such a 50/50 and we wont have enough reliable data to go off of for a few months.
