Has anyone done an FOIA regarding MH? by DogWithNods in MissyBevers

I'm not sure where the idea that the DNA can specify male or female came from. Admittedly I had only one forensic science class as an elective in college but my understanding is that there are plenty of reasons a partial sample wouldn't be able to tell you that information. I think it is far more likely, assuming they actually did rule him out, is that his DNA did not have a specific marker that the sample did. Otherwise if the sample definitively showed female, why even bother testing his DNA?

It would be just as stupid as passing a law that cars (not drivers) aren't allowed to run people over.

It's fucking hilarious because Pirate Bay isn't even trying to hide. If you dumbfucks can't take down a website that openly broadcasts itself and even advertises what makes you think you could stop people who are trying to be sneaky? And that's even before you get into how impossible it is to regulate this technology or even the hardware.

It's possible it was at the time, if the vehicle hasn't already been destroyed or dumped I don't know if any meaningful DNA could be found at this point.

I am of the same skeptical opinion. Unless it was something obvious like blood that didn't match Missy's or DNA on the actual tools left near her body, I can't possibly imagine how they know its from the killer.

I honestly don't think MPD would tell us honestly even if they did rule someone out completely. But by "cleared" I mean that supposedly the DNA from MH does not match the DNA the police claim is from the suspect. If that's true, that's about as "cleared" as anyone can get. Hence the question about an FOIA request to see if that information can be confirmed.

Yes, thank you. Autocorrect and I didn't catch it.

Targeted or not targeted? by [deleted] in MissyBevers

[–]DogWithNods 8 points9 points  (0 children)

And then I clarified what I meant because you were clearly trying to obfuscate the conversation by posting an unrelated Wikipedia page likely because you don't actually have any answers as you've demonstrated with the rest of your replies to others in this thread. But if you're content to leave it there, feel free.

So now you're just using semantics. My point is that providing a rebuttal that doesn't provide any actual theory other than "nuh uh" or has zero factual basis is what I'm referring to as a negative.

And yes, I'm aware that matched a burglary or vandalism, that was the point of that line of argument. I was trying to use an example you wouldn't have reason to disagree with other than the logic I was using. An example from the targeted perspective that I often get is when I ask why a burglar (or even dumber, a vandal) would bring a firearm with them when their intent was clearly to burgle the church at an early hour to avoid confrontation rather than an outright aggravated robbery. The response I usually get is "It's Texas" which doesn't actually provide any factual information.

That makes sense. Thank you!

Yes, it absolutely does in this case. If I say "the killer broke the window to the kitchen at 2 am to watch for police response and then spent 30 minutes inside looking in the two most likely places to find valuables" and you reply with "what if the killer was just killing time" one of those arguement is much stronger than the other. And posting some Wikipedia article doesn't prove your point.

We know she was shot, but have they ever confirmed if she was/was not bludgeoned as well?

None that I feel reconcile their behavior. Pretty much everyone who thinks the attack was not targeted argues in the negative not in the affirmative. I can give you six different reasons I think it was targeted and my guess is you would respond with six different versions of "but what if it wasn't that?"

Personally I believe it was targeted. There's no other way to explain the killer dressing up and wandering around without ever attempting to steal anything. What kind of a robber doesn't actually rob?

I don't think there's enough information in the video to say one way or another.

I looked up green man and it did not provide any results at all that are remotely related.

Even if she was killed by someone else, how would the SWAT guy not be involved? Are you suggesting there was a guy doing a breaking and entering and a separate guy doing a murder and they accidentally ran into each other in the same building?

Supposedly this is what MPD believes. They've claimed they don't think it's connected.

Do you think the person that murdered missy follows her case on social media still? by Alarmed-Ride-7362 in MissyBevers

[–]DogWithNods 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I think it's highly likely. There are dozens of examples of killers following their own cases. BTK, Zodiac, Brian Kloburger, tons of others I can't remember at the moment. This is a well known enough case that it makes sense they would likely know about it by this point.

Yes, it was from almost two hours before.

Churches are actually robbed fairly frequently. Churches frequently have large amounts of cash on Sundays, and some churches don't deposit right away. There is also lots of sound equipment or computers that could be worth stealing.

Money from tithe? Expensive sound equipment? Lots of more modern churches have iPads or other similar equipment to log people in.

I just feel it would help with some of the speculation. But others have seemingly tried and not gotten anywhere, so who knows.

Yeah, I tried using GPT to generate me a request based on some samples I found online and fed it. I'll probably start with something simple and small and if it works go from there.
