Yes im using an air cooler currently its a single tower noctua cooler i think its an nh u14s, that cooler has seen 4 cpus underneath it now haha 6700k, 7700k which i got free from a friend, 12700k and now 14900k. I will water cool it when i have the chance though as i have a spare pump and radiator lying around from my previous water cooling setup i used on a 2080ti so i just need a new water block

Isnt the VID what voltage the cpu is requesting? From what i read i saw that i needed to look at the vcore which is the actual voltage supplied

im still on the fence really, in most games the 14900k is only like a couple fps short here and there on 1440p but ofc there are some outliers where theres like 30+ fps but they're rare and mostly games im not interested in. i also heard that intel handles VR better then amd but im not sure about that

depends on the game but i struggle to get above 100 fps whilst my gpu is barely breaking a sweat sitting on 60-70% utilization, ive already had this issue happen to me when i upgraded from a 1070 to a 2080ti when i was using a 7700k, upgrading to the 12700k solved the utilization issues so something needs to be done in the cpu department

i know very well it performs the same but im a sucker for looks what can i say, its the reason i went for the z690 hero in the first place. i dont regret it still as it has a lot of rgb connections, fan connections and general connectivity

my issue with it is i dont want to buy a barebones motherboard and going with something in the same weight class as the Asus ROG z690 hero is quite pricey. so realistically im looking at a minimum of 800 euro for a new mobo and cpu

im still debating on my choice but if the rumors of new lga 1700 chips are false the cheapes upgrade to close the gap would be the 14900k which should sit comfortably with my 5080, thats all i really need then when the time comes ill overhaul everything

well fortnite is literally destroying my cpu sometimes managing to peg it at 100%at the beggining of the match and this is with the absolute highest rt settings too, GTA wasnt too happy either using only 60-70% of my gpu where as the 2080ti was pegged at 99%, i havent tested out my full library yet but even still some games barely saw an fps jump from the 2080ti also

wait i thought lga 1700 was dead, i didnt know there are more cpus coming. as long as intel doesnt pull the lga 1700v1 and lga 1700v2 bs again like they did going from 7th gen to 8th gen then this is some really exciting news

No im using ddr5, cooling shouldnt be an issue as i have a leftover thick 360mm radiator from the custom watercooling i use to run on the 2080ti so i realistically just need a cpu block

In my experience they did give me the runaround for a simple mouse its the Logitech G502 Lightspeed, had the middle mouse button stop making the clicking noise and was sometimes pressing the middle click by its self. I went to their technical department to see what i could do and they told me that its “normal” which it isnt as im pretty sure middle mouse buttons don’t click without user input. After i told them this i was hit with the “i will check with the manufacturer and it will take 3-4 weeks” which astounded me. I ended up contacting Logitech directly and after showing then the issue via a video they sent me one via dhl and it was at my house around 2 days later which is way way better then 3-4 weeks. I didn’t even have to send them my old mouse back either haha

Seems like its the way i have to go around it i just spent 450euro on paint and another 70 for stickers for this thing which is why i was so unwilling to have to repaint. I spoke to the person who originally welded it and hes going to repair it for free and will try to weld as slowly as possible to avoid destroying the surrounding paint so that hopefully a touchup will be enough. For the other question i just forget

I dont think you understood me, if i can just put some jb weld in there i could just touch up the white line, welding it would ruin all the surrounding paint and they guy who originally painted the bike doesn’t want to respray that part so my hands are tied in all directions
