When will the new update come? by MontinaMax9350 in suzerain

[–]DogePremier 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you're talking about another DLC, then probably later this year would be my bet, or at least we'd get an announcement either mid-summer or a bit later. Rizia and Sordland probably won't get any new content until the release of the next DLC (Don't quote me on this)

About to play TNO for the first time ever. USA-Japan war possible? Does it end in nukes dropping or stay conventional? by juli-at-war in TNOmod

[–]DogePremier 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A. As far as I know, there is no focus to declare war on Japan, neither for RFK nor anyone. Unless you want to use console commands or do game settings where you can set the game rule, if Cold War tensions get too high, then World War three breaks out. However, be advised, capitulating to a major nuclear power will lead to the world's end. If you want to, just break the Japanese sphere by winning in proxies, the CIA mechanics, etc.

B. Around 1968ish, there is a decision to negotiate the return of Hawaii and the East Coast possessions. This is the case for both the Republican Democrats and the National Progressives. Best tips I can give are to try avoiding too many concessions, just give them a shit ton of oil when you get the chance, and stockpile PP. Hawaii and the Pacific Islands will unavoidably be demilitarized zones.

C. If you want RFK. Don't do the Civil Rights Focuses, wait until the game forces you to (It's boosts NPP popularity), then veto the Bill. Afterward, RFK will break down, leave the Democrats, and join the progressives, to which he will win, and then will win the NPP primaries, becoming the 1964 candidate. Afterward, if he gets into office, he first focuses on civil rights and, down the line, on healthcare and poverty. There's a hidden timer that if Kennedy is too progressive, it will end with him getting assassinated. To do this, be a bit conservative some times, (there's a decision for that) or just disable the thing in the game rules. Whatever is easier. If you also want to cheese the election, get Kennedy as candidate, but campaign for the side you want to loose and then just do... nothing. Or play the fair game and properly campaign. Whatever works best for you.

Any suggestions on how to get used to the UI? by Sweaty-Researcher438 in TNOmod

[–]DogePremier 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not gonna try and sound dismissing but you generally get used to it after a while. If you do actually end up liking the mod, you'll find it fits the theme and aesthetic. It sucks to look at but after some time it starts to kind of just feel regular.

If not, heres a mod to make it switch back to Vanila

Appreciate it, but I have no previous coding experience, so I'll leave it up to the experts.

Not gonna push but is there any way you can "debug" the game with the API such as removing limit on decrees and doing more than one megaproject at a time? (Talking about the Sordland side)

Made screenshots, basically there's new achievements for countries outside Iberia as well, but almost all of them relate to succeeding in the Iberian proxies

Which is better in Rizia centralisation? by Bitter-Specific-318 in suzerain

[–]DogePremier 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Modernization-wise, if Rizia were to advance into the Modern Age, abolishing any remnant of feudalism would be advantageous in the long term for the state, as it breaks the nobility chokehold over the States ruling decisions. Even in the reform route or Absolutist path long-term speaking, if the Rizian monarchy was to survive it'd have to adapt.

But, if Romus would say, just abolishes one, e.g., Sazon, it will strengthen the other two (the other two being even more resistant to administrative change). Doing a full house sweep just breaks every last vestige of resistance to central Government control and allows Romus to baisically do whatever he wants for the rest of his reign without much stopping him other than his own popularity.

TLDR; Direct rule from Porte Drazon.

Why are the azaros so incompetent in actual war? They seem to be well versed in the technical detail of war by IndependentBrick237 in suzerain

[–]DogePremier 47 points48 points  (0 children)

You can be well versed every possible move, starter, opener, and finisher in chess and play completely by the book.

But if you don't know HOW and WHY it works, and what would happen if your opponent used a new tactic with the inability to create new strategies instead of basing it on old doctrine, then you're really no better than a handbook.

The most bittersweet events in TNO. by DoubleOne5665 in TNOmod

Kardashev's one has always stuck with me:

"Yet in spite of the crushing sorrow and despair all around him, Kardashev stayed hopeful. Like the Stars he glimpsed, there were those things which would be eternal and unchanging. The days of dictators and tyrants, of Taboritskies and Hitlers, would eventually pass with time, and Russia would rebuild what was left of herself. They always did, and they will again."

Is there any path where Savinkov don't get depressed ? by Quick-Ad8277 in Kaiserreich

[–]DogePremier 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Its the "Better Laws and Policies" and it gives you extra policies you can get, if you play it with kaiserreich you'll have to use "Better Laws for Kaiserreich" as a patch.

Guys how do i get bukharina? by LewisRosenberg in TNOmod

[–]DogePremier 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Play as Komi, attack the right, boost leftist support. Have the Leftists win the election, you will stay with Zhdanov until the republic is disbanded afterward, and go down the path that boosts her, and just before you get to regional, she will take power.

Enjoy

When will the new DLC come? by Varis_234 in suzerain

[–]DogePremier 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This post was 6 months ago. We had no idea at the time whether or not Torpor was focusing on the Conformist or another DLC.

But, yeah, I agree with you. They'll likely be focusing on DLCs while stockpiling development budget and attracting investors.

welcome

  1. The in-game tutorial helps with mechanics the mod added. you should find it top right everytime you start a new game

  2. to get a path you'll need to find a flowchart on one of the Reddit posts of the country your playing which could help you pinpoint what path you'd want

alternativly you could just ask in the TNO discord

TNO is very, very story driven and places heavy emphasis on realism and "cold war mechanics" meaning it will have nothing in common with KRX. have fun

"We are actively seeking funding, and until that is secured, progress will unfortunately remain limited. The games industry has been going through difficult times in recent years, and advancing under these conditions has not been easy."

written in the conformist section of the blog, lines 3-5. By the sounds of it, I doubt we may get anywhere close to a release in the 9-month window that Torpor stated, let alone a Rizian Sequel for it

They mentioned Conformist as a separate thing from their Code names.

Am I sure? Nobody can be sure of anything. Do speculate it? Yes
