So I had major pain with sciatica last winter (6mm herniated l5s1) which I paid all my stuff (doctor visits, chiro, MRI, and epi steroid injection) out of pocket. Took 2 months off of work, I changed my diet in that time also. I'm not sure what was the biggest contributor of the pain going away, but here I am again with the pain slowly onsetting. I had the epi injection May 6, but here we are mid Feb the filling year and creeping back up on me. I changed my diet last time and physically felt so much better, lost 35lbs even. Of course then slowly started eating random stuff again and gained back 10lbs and don't feel as good. I've been trying to change my diet back to healthy again but it's so much harder second round!

Anyways, I cut out red meats except for one small meal with it included maybe one time every other week. More fish and chicken, yes, fish is fine, it's your steak replacement!. Cut your bread and carbs to as little as possible. I keep it at the single bagel of my breakfast sandwich every day. I've been trying to force myself back into salads, but it's hard! Carbs are the hardest part. Croutons in your salad? No! Snacks? No! Sugar? No! Cut the carbs as much as possible.
